Check sites like: gun dog supply, macks prairie wings, cabellas, and other hunting suppliers. Especially thise that cater to bird and water foul, where working dogs are part of the hunt.
A lot of truck protection related dog gear there.

The scoop does its job well, but is over rated.

Sport 2WD with FP and towing......I live in coastal SC and the roads here are fine. They fill potholes within a couple days around here. FP gives all the fun creature comforts and JBL system. FP can be ordered on either TRD.

Sport Hood seems to be glued on better than non sports.

yes, but it looks so good!:D For me (not off road as often as on the road) I find the sport works quite well. If I were a serious offroader I would have gone with the OR.

I have a 16' Sport (my second one). They are more for street use. Get the off road if you are more outdoorsy. Both are bad ass though

I bought the sport, only because the off-road they had on the lot had a sun roof. Not for me. I hit the trails every weekend so far. Extremely capable truck, will be built over time. The only thing I want from the off road on my sport is the rear locker, but it's okay that I don't have one. I say you get into the first truck you can. Regardless sport or OR.

Originally, I was planning on getting a sport, but after driving both Off Road and Sport I'm going with the Off Road. I want the softer ride. Besides, the hood scope on the Sport and its extra 70hp was too much power for me to handle. Regardless of your choice you have a great truck... enjoy...

I'm holding off until spring 2016... the wife loves the inferno red... so DCLB OR inferno...

The Sport comes with Bilsteins all around, mine did. Just different porting for a more street ride.

The sport suspension does drive better on the pavement and feels more like a car to me. the hood scoop is silly. The paint matched trim is really nice.

I got the off road cause I like going off road a lot and wanted piece of mind with a locker and knowing it's a true locking diff and they seem to be much easier to sell in the future.

When I shopped used Tacomas I saw lots of sports hanging around online and few off roads. The off roads would sell very very quickly.

Also I run AKC titled bird dogs and got a camper shell for them. They go in their kennels strapped in the bed.

Any waterproof seat cover will do. And dogs are hard on everything. They're dogs... Haha lots of guys like the Wet Okole brand. I think cabellas has a bunch on sale this week.

Or hands down. The locker and crawl control can be useful. The hood scoop and wheels on the sport are pointless. I do like the looks of the scoop though. Wish it was an option with the off road.

I think most good product sites list seat cover compatibility in the product description. If they don't then don't buy that one.

I agree Sport or OR they are both great. It's really up to your budget and preference.

I bought the Sport (was built today 11.23.15) because I wanted and AC and a Manual Transmission...It was the best I could do. Could not understand why they would not make an OR with an MT other than the fact that their crawl system likely requires it. Agree the Scooop is over the top...Have been trying to trade with someone that likes it. Barcelona Red in the Seattle area. - Clay

I forgot to say I do not believe you can get a long bed double cab with OR either? I may be wrong. That seemed to be a sore point for folks who need a long bed.
