Not sure they can be stuffed to full compression but they fit stock height.

So ultimately I'll have to do some lifting to the suspension or add spacers. I'm not the most mechanical, I thought there maybe enough space for a little bit larger tire while leaving everything stock.

The tires we've been mentioning are 1-1.5" larger than stock and they will fit without rubbing on stock suspension. If you want wider than 265, you'll want spacers or wheels with less back spacing (same thing) and of you want taller you'd better be ready to do some trimming!

Has anyone put 275/70/17 on stock rims with 3" lift. Are there any problems.

You'll be getting mighty Close to the UCA'S. I believe 285 tires is where wheel spacers become necessary. Someone'll chime in, I'm sure.

I run 285/75/17 and wheel spacers and had to trim a good bit. My dad on the other hand with the same exact truck just a different color went with the same exact lift same size rims and 275/70/17 and no wheel spacers and doesn't have a problem with rubbing at all. He swears it's because I have mud tires and he has all terrains, but I think you should be fine. Be sure to post some pics and let us know how it goes!
