Not sure if the glitch has been fixed yet but Moosejaw is having 20% one item sale right now. Friday I had some things in my cart and it was giving me 20% all the items. Needless to say I bought some extra stuff.

    Maybe $90?

The other pans suck. Big super hot spot right in the middle with a hanky gas switch. Simmer is a moving target with my JB.

Try an inverted fuel setup, or the kings of simmer - liquid fuel.

If I plan to fry, I bring this stove with me. Wider flame, and I use an anodized aluminum pan with non-stick coating for much more even temps. Simple and cheap, but with no piezo, it's a sub-$10 addition that will still nest in your JetBoil so you can have the best of both worlds. I can get a great simmer out of it. It's strong, too. I've boiled water in a 2 quart pot with it and it's stable as long as you have your fuel canister on a stand or solid/flat ground.

Well, I got my System in, but my wife snagged it for a Christmas present, so all I got to do was look at the box :goingcrazy:. I also just found out I can get a similar unit from one of my suppliers. If I can get a decent price, maybe I'll do a GB next year.

I take a whore bath when I camp/backpack, so I'll never use a shower. Can't help you there.

The Scrubba bag looks like just a dry bag, but a little stronger. I think you can find a decent dry bag that will suit doing laundry. I just use a 10L Sea to Summit kitchen sink to do laundry in, and when I have to wash more than a couple dishes. Half the price, very lightweight, and packs down to nothing. Plus I use it as a water carrier for bringing bulk water to my campsite for general use. I can wash one outfit in it at a time (synthetics or thin cottons):

    http://www.amazon.com/Sea-Summit-Kitchen-Sink-10-Liters/dp/B001Q3KLOK

They have a 20L version as well, which would wash more clothes at one time. I do like the idea of using a dry bag for laundry though. Never really thought of that. In that case, I'd use this 35L bag which I already own (stronger than most dry bags, and it's what I use for a pillow and clothes bag):

If you keep it in your wish list, it will get cheaper than this when in stock, and be Prime.

I've never owned a shower either but I'm thinking a spicket and pressure deal will be good for dishes, showering, rinsing off feet and gear, etc.

The bag has some kind of washboard thing built in I guess.

All I need beyond this is to upgrade my cooler situation and I'll be a happy camper/road tripper.

I have 1 secret santa this year with my family and the person I have is a tech person. lots of tablets, laptops and stuff. I will be buying this for them since they also just moved out I believe it would be a good gift. Over the budget, but seems great.

Also buying this for a white elephant. I am hoping to steal it back. hahaha

@amaes The Exos is a phenomenal pack for those who want to get into ultralight but still have an internal frame and all of the more conventional features of larger packs. Removable lid makes for versatile load amounts as well. I love that thing.

Because of the Exos I've been meaning to sell my Atmos AG.

No one brings a shower while packing.

Car camp, I just jab a few holes into a gallon jug. Splash bath.

Or just camp by a lake, haha!
Typically that's what I end up doing is setting up camp by a body of water. But, this is Maine I'm talking about. Finding a lake/pond/river/stream/brook is easy.

I bring a shower with me while camping... it's called a water bottle. I just dump some water on my head in the morning when I get up. Feels nice and refreshing, and the cold water + low morning temp wakes me up quicker than a cup of coffee (obviously on backpacking trips when water usage matters, I just skip altogether, or find a stream). I also got one of those "camp towels" from REI a few years back thinking it was mostly a gimmick... Turns out I've used that thing way more than I thought I would. Dries crazy fast too.

Just take a whore bath! A basin of some sort with about a half gallon of water and some bio soap and small towel works wonders for a full body wipedown. If you're so inclined, dump out the soap water and rinse out your towel with clean water and wipe-rinse.

Dump your soapy water somewhere responsible, as in away from vegetation and at least 100' away from a water source. Use only biodegradable soap.
