As has been said, 5100's to level the front and a frugal choice of wheels/tires can be done for right around that price. It can also be offset by selling your current wheels/tires

OP could apply that grand to the pronciple balance of the note, assuming there is a loan on the truck.

True, but if he has a good interest rate and isn't have issues with payments, he might as well spend it on something he wants. To each their own. I'm of the opinion that it is best to eliminate debt, but you also need to have some fun with your money.

OP, IMO true sliders first, add some armor and use the balance for smaller mods.

Haven't looked closely at n fab. I want some for door ding protection. Two questions, would they guard against door dings and do they look dumb on a non lifted truck?

This is my first truck...so kinda hard to say. The fact that the step extends out from the side of the truck SHOULD help with door dings.

As far as the lifted thing, once again its a matter of opinion. I think it looks fine. I'll be leveling mine in the coming months. I needed them because my wife is 5'3" and she has literally been jumping to get into the truck, so I wanted it to be easier for her.

I bought them through jet...Amazons new competitor lol. Never dealt with them before so we will see how smooth it is.

Their prices vary by shipping location, I guess they source products from different regions depending where you are. So my price for the steps was $250, yours may be different. They also have a coupon code advertised right on the site for 20% off your first purchase (max discount $50). Brought it down to $200, free shipping. I pulled the trigger because I doubt black friday deals will be any less...its almost 50% off retail at this price.

Just checked my receipt. It was actually $588. I thought they were cheaper than that. Sorry to mislead anyone. :(

    Shipping was still free, though.

The wheels are old nismo rims from Nissan. Got them on ebay. The bolt pattern is the same as toyota but the center bore had to be machined out from Nissan's 100mm to Toyota's 106mm. They are 16x7 +39mm offset. I had to run 3/4" spacers to clear the calipers.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I am interested in the nfab steps but was a little disappointed when I found out they would be $270 for me. Either way that's a pretty good deal! Do you guys know of any other deals for wheels or tires going on?

Keep saving until you have enough to do a lift (3''+) and put on new tires and wheels.
All other mods look stupid before a lift ;)

I'll just say it, $1,000 is a good start to your IRA.
