Hey everyone new to this forum.. I have just recently bought a 2014 Toyota tacoma Trd sport everything is stock. My tire sizes are 265/65/r17. I am trying to get a leveling kit so the front of my truck is level with the back.. dont really go off roading much other than drive onto the beach sand. Here is a picture of my truck. I was wondering how many inches I would need in the front to be level with the back? Would I need bigger tires?

Welcome to TW. I have this setup on my 2015 Sport. 5100 bilsteins all around. With the fronts set at 0 and 884 coils and that leveled my truck. I bought everything at Headstrong off road. I had them compress the coils on the front shocks to make the install easier. I hope this helps. Also my truck handles and rides better than the factory bilsteins.

I was considering getting spacers because I think I read somewhere that it was the cheapest option? I am willing to spend maybe 200 or less..

I wouldn't get spacers. Save up and do it the right way.

2 in will level it up. I did a 3in front with 1in back to get 285/70/17's to fit; they rub a bit though. You don't need bigger tires especially if you stick to just a level kit, but it will look better; more proportionate.

Everyone is against spacers and while I don't love the idea, it does the job. Our driving habits sound similar and it does the trick for me. I can take it on some fire roads, and it rides good on road.

5100's set to 1.75... or set them to 0 and get 883 OME coils. Total cost around $350 to do it in a very solid way (spring and shock designed for it). plus cost of alignment.

Ride quality is going to be better with coilovers or 5100's as opposed to spacers.

You could just get the 5100 and use the same coils you have.

thanks man sorry for being such a NOOB but would getting the 5100 replace something I already have? I am trying to just add on something without taking out anything stock... Does anybody know if 2nd generation trucks are 4 lug or 6 lug or whatever?

They will replace the nearly new shocks that are already on your truck. It's not going to ride any better or any worse than what you have now with the spacers or with the 5100's. Tons of people use and have used spacers to level and MOST will tell you their ride stayed the same. Myself included.

Your truck is a 6 lug model.
