I've heard of people doing it before it's not impossible to do
I never leave my truck in gear so I won't have an issue there
I'll keep you posted if I find anything or a place to do it

I would only want a certified person doing it so if I can't find a legit person to set it up I won't do it

Sounds great I am running 30s with a leveling kit and sliders and I have a rear locker. Just wanted to do it with someone with some more experience.

Better than my duratracs I used to have. I only hear them when my music's down and sunroof open. Aaron says when I drive by they make noise but I myself don't hear them.

I know there's a way to do it since Aaron was looking into it with his clutch. As far as a shop to do it, I'm not sure. One of my managers knows a guy who installs them so I can ask for you.

The difficult piece to making it "safe" is that you're bypassing the only factory safety point. There is not a, indicator to show that the transmission is in neutral. If one could be installed,, that would be you're safety but again, thats on the installed to make sure its secure and not affected by the elements or vibration.

I always thought it would be nice but would hate to have the wife or someone else drive/ move the truck. Then the next time getting in unknowingly go to start the truck and it takes off down the street or into something else.

Another reason why no one else drives my truck. She has her car, and I have my truck. My wife is a great driver, and I have no issue with her driving, but she doesn't.

No imagination? Get a pair of wire cutters and have at it!

Just kidding. What I would do instead of remote start is just get a set of good seat re-upholstery kits (like Katzkin) and have the electric warmers put in them. My car has these and very nice on a cold morning as they are warm in one minute while the heater takes 4 minutes or longer to make any heat and 10 minutes to be where the seats are in one minute.

Looks like Viper has figured out the Manual Transmission remote start issue. It's an option on the Viper LED 2-Way Remote Start System. You have to do the Hokey-Pokey when you get out to be able to remote start it, otherwise, if you get out normally, or someone else drives your vehicle and parks it normally, it won't work.

    Manual Transmission Start (MTS mode)

When installed into a manual transmission vehicle, the system requires that the MTS mode is properly set when parking. If MTS mode is not properly set or is defeated after being properly set the system will not start the engine.

    1. With the engine running, press the foot brake then set the parking brake and leave the engine running.
For Pit Stop or Turbo Timer mode (to leave the engine running after locking), open the driver door.

    2. Release the foot brake. As long as the engine is running there is no time limit to perform this step.

    3. Within 20 seconds of foot brake release, press any command button on the remote, after 20 seconds return to Step 2 (For Turbo Timer Mode, press the optional dash mounted activation button or send the Timer Mode command.

    4. The parking lights flash 5 times to confirm MTS mode is enabled and the remote start activates the ignition outputs.

    5. Turn Off and remove the key from the ignition switch, the engine remains running.

    6. Exit the vehicle, close all the doors and lock the system.

    7. The engine turns off. If the door is opened in Step 1 then the

      engine continues to run.
