Spark plug brand?

I just got a 2007 Tacoma with 36k miles and the previous owner didnt do a damn thing except change the oil. What are some decently priced plugs that I should use? Was thinking about going to the dealer and get some but I hate paying freakin dealers. Thanks.

I was at my dealer yesterday getting the 30k inspection asked about plug change. He said they don't do it until 60k?

 

That's actually surprising considering dealerships are typically more inclined to do the opposite, change them when not needed.

Either will be fine just make sure the gaps are correct with a feeler gauge.

 

I though the suggested interval for changing was set by the plug manufacturer just as much as the auto company. Like some high end jazzy plugs brag they last at least 60k miles. Denso is one of those companies bragging at least 60k out of their Iridium plugs

 

According to my owners manual my 2010 4cyl has to have Iridium plugs. According to the plug manufacturer, the iridium plugs come pregapped and to not adjust the gap because they are set optimum level for the iridium electrode.

 

i also find it very strange that my owners manual does not have a maintenance schedule

 

Yes, they do come pre-gapped, but 2 sec. per plug to check isn't gonna kill you.

 

Totally agree but there is no spec to go by .043" is normal for my other vehicles but I thought the iridiums were different gapping. I could be totally wrong but would hate to get a set of denso iridiums and say the gap is too wide ill close it up and winde up messing up the gap.
