Lol, I pretty much never buy anything on black friday. If I don't find a deal than I will just wait a bit longer to purchase one.

That SOS DIY kit tho... $400 for a plate bumper :spy: I need to wait at least a couple weeks before purchasing but that 20% off is tempting

That seems like a solid deal if you like the bumper. Eddy seems like a good guy to buy from too. I just never really have anything to buy during the deals. I ordered my armor after black friday but Satin at pelfrey was awesome and hooked me up with black friday pricing anyways. I'll be ordering the trail toys ezview mirrors to help with the softopper blind spots. I go to the chain stores every year with my dad, walk around and eventually go home with nothing . I can't even find gifts for other people.

Id love some rear 14'' ADS shocks for Frank, some gussets too. Hydro bumps for the rear would be nice too. But thats pretty much all i'd want for Frank.

Would love osme audio gear too, and a new computer.

But. Whatever. Im fine with everything i have already.

A computer is high on my list but probably won't happen till I land a real job. I am taking computational biology next semester so hopefully homework is minimal and I won't have to be at the library to use the school computers all the time.

I know... I loved my Taco more than anything else. But with kids on the horizon, I needed something with more room in the cab.

Now I got this beast. 6.2L and 420hp of pure awesomeness. Looked at Tundras, but wanted the 6.5' bed with a crew cab that Toyota doesn't make. And the Tacoma's were too small inside.

Don't worry though, I'll get another Taco someday. Once kids are out of the house, I'll need something to dump a bunch of money into!

    Cheers guys, its been fun.

Well Toyota called. 2 quarts of oiled burned in 800 miles. They dont want to tear into it because my air intake is exposed and they think that is the problem since it can suck in water/dirt.

They cab open it but if there is any sign of water or dirt they won't cover it. Not sure what to do. Fuck 35's..

On the 4 cylinder can you pull the air intake off the throttle body? If you can, you could pull it off and see if there is signs of water or dirt there.

Pretty sure, I thought it through and the only reasonable way to proceed is to park the truck and start tearing things apart over break.

I remember people saying to use some kind of foam to remove water? I can't see how this would be a real issue. Monte has run nothing to keep his air box clean. Along with many others. The filter in place should stop most, if not all dirt. I found very very fine dust that got through when I ran the AFE filter but changed that back to stock pretty quick.

3 weeks ago a pickup was abandoned in a trail road a quarter mile from my house. All windows lights and glass were broke out and interior tore apart. Last night someone lit a pickup on fire in the middle of the pavement 250 yards from my house and it burned to the ground. I live 8 miles from civilization. I don't like this.

Yeah, and I haven't seen any signs of water when changing my oil in the past. I am unsure about how much dirt but if they find ANY sign that dirt was near the issue then they won't warranty to work. I respect them for giving me a call before screwing me over and tearing into it only to later tell me that I need to pay 5K in labor to get my truck back. I have about a month of sitting on my ass and twiddling my thumbs to get this fixed. If it's going to be a costly fix then where would be the best place to start looking for a 2nd gen v6? Kind of wishing I had bought that land crusier now .

No way dirt caused that issue. If dirt would do that my motor woulda exploded by now. Haha

Sounds like the rings just are bad on the Pistons. No way they could find dirt in there even if they wanted too really. Everything will be coated in oil. You should be able to fight it if they try and pull that on you.

    However, fuck it. V6 swap!

So should I risk it and have them tear it down?

Dirt could cause scoring on the cylinder wall to where it burns it now. But probably a slim chance. And itd burn more.

Id think the rings are just going out as well
