I'm waiting for Cobra to get back to me regarding replacement under warranty. If I don't hear back in a few days I will just buy a new one.

Glad to hear everyone's getting their permits in, I too, have an extra one just in case.

There is a "shooting range" down at the base of hull mt, just before we climb up the trail. And I wouldn't stress the cb's too much. If ya have one, great, if not, you'll be ok. Half the time people's antennas are all out of tune and you can't hear shit anyways. We'll be a giant line of Yotas, pretty easy to find!

I'm actually heading up there tomorrow to cut firewood and do a little scouting mission, I'll report on conditions when I get back...

    :) that's awesome.

Well it looks like I picked a helluva day to go mess around up there... So far it's dumping rain on 101 in Ukiah, weather calls for 2-4 inches of snow at elevation!! It's gonna be fun, that's for sure.

Conditions must be real bad if your doing 70 with the parking brake on. Better safe than sorry. :)

It will help for coordinating the shots and calling people to come pick my ass up. We should consider splitting the group up a little to keep it more manageable for filming as well. so 5-6 rigs would stay back for video and pictures.

I want to recreate a couple shots of this that we did in Hollister in January but didn't perfect.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QtcFZ9Wd6A

Preferably at least one rig with a bed rack but no RTT installed.

As far as safety goes, I want to make sure we only work with people that have good comms, so CBs and HAMs are an absolute must for moving shots.

Just to be clear, it's not needed for everybody, it's just a safety thing.
