I have the same slight pull as well. Thought it was an alignment issue, but the numbers were spot on. Wish i would have seen this before i paid for another alignment, oh well.

Man. This is my daily driver, and holding that slight pressure on the wheel to maintain straight tracking is literally making me crazy. I told the manager at Discount Tire about it and they said "yep, it has directional tread so I'm not surprised"... Sh!t! I am!!

They said I could bring them back within 30 days for a refund or get new tires, but my only other tire option in 255/80/17 looks to the the BFG Mud Terrain KM2 at $230 a piece. I paid 180 a piece for the Coopers... Damn I'm disappointed.

Both sets I have had had a tiny bit of right pull to them but it didn't bother me much. I did the same thing, swapped sides, rotated them, alignment, etc. It seems this is common. I still love them. The 285's pull a bit less than my 265's did.

Sounds like you need to train a chimp to hold left pressure on the steering wheel!

Heading in to the dealership in the morning to swap out a stock set of tires and see if it still pulls right. Thank god the service manager is cool! His son has a lifted 4Runner, so he instantly sided with me and wants to help figure this out and get her aligned! I'll report back.

Well, sad news indeed. The pull is totally a result of the tires directional tread. We swapped out 4 stock Tacoma wheels and tires from a 2014 and she drove straight as an arrow. Put the Coopers back on and pulled to the right. This sucks. Might be warrantying them for some bfg mud terrains. The dealership is going to try some cross caster and see if that fixes it first.

Not really, but thanks for the caps to show your emphasis. Adding a little cross caster is quite normal in vehicles, and is done all the time.

Care to elaborate on the stupidity?

Just to make tires work on the vehicle? Not right at all.

    That's a joke.

Keep us updated weeks/months down the road while you're still chasing this issue.

Calm it down a notch. I'm going to discount tire regardless to see about warrantying these coopers anyway.

Don't get taken advantage of... doin' 3 alignments, swapping tires, blah blah blah...

Get rid of the tires. Problem solved. Go on about your life.

Correct, but it does have a tread pattern that looks like this: \\ \\ when looking at the front of the truck. That angled tread pattern is pulling the truck right. Googling the issue shows many others that say they have the Cooper St maxx pull too. Some don't.
