    I know a lot of you guys aren't running winches I know @Tacodriver08 is just can't remember what brand. My question is what is a good brand besides Warn way out of my price range. I'm considering smittybilt or quadratec (see this winch in my wife's jeep catalog). What ever I get its gonna be synthetic.

    Smittybuilt is fine, with as often as you'd actually be using it it's not a bad deal. Now if it was a dedicated trail rig and going to be pulling all the time I'd get a warn or something similar

    300 and buy the extra warranty and if it breaks you get another one, not a bad deal for a budget winch

    I have the tigershark from northern tool. You can buy it online for $299 with $50 off coupon and they will ship it to the store for free.

    It's worked great for me on a lot of tough occasions.
