    Procomp suspension lift, tires,
I have spent a lot of time looking for the perfect suspension lift kit for my 06 Tacoma. I am running into a couple problems but the biggest one is about how high I should go. I want to get a 4" or 6"... I have climbed into a taco w/ a 6" but never a 4". I can't make this decision without sitting in one first. So, if anyone happens to live near Santa Maria, CA, I would love the opportunity to check your 2nd gen out. I want to get this done by Christmas as a reward for returning from my recent deployment. :infantry:

Also, if anyone wants to chime in on what kind of lift they have and the pros/cons that would be greatly appreciated. I am looking to get something that won't impair my need for moving my crap wherever the military throws me and something that allows for some decent off-roading experiences.

You wisdom and experience is requested!

so this is as far as my knowledge goes, but if you want to get a 4-5 inch lift out of your truck your two options are either a total chaos longtravel kit http://www.chaosfab.com/86000.html, or a suspension lift from RCD. http://www.racecardynamics.com/prod...ta/tacoma 10-47405/specsheet/tacoma5spec.html. out of those two the most practicle and least expensive would be the rcd lift

for 6 inch lifts you have a varity of choices, the most popular being pro comp and fabtec. the problem with both the 4 inch and 6 inch lift besides the lt kit, is that you will have to cut your cross member, so you may want to consider a 3 inch lift so you do not have to do that and your lift can be easily reversable, in case you sell the truck.

either way comfortable with out much modification you will only be able to run 33s with out much rubbing, and you could clear those tires with the three inch as well. so with that in mind if you are not planning on doing any modification to the frame mounts to clear 35 inch tires(without major rubbing) you will still have the same amount of ground clearence.

with all of these lifts however, you can improve your ride quality by upgrading/ getting shocks

I like the RCD kit. I don't want to go with a 3" because it doesn't seem like enough of a change to me.

I have the 6" fabtech, performance lift and I really enjoy it.. My g/f drives it. Nothing but thumbs up from other Tacoma drivers that go by. I wouldn't get 35's unless you are going to change the Diff. gearing.
