Yeah we have a harbor freight in town as of this year. I've gotten a couple items there. Just don't want something so cheap it fails when I need it. Haha

Might have to stop by there. Not sure yet but I might be attending a group winter trail ride on a couple weeks and would like to have a recovery point before I go.

    Some really cool shit
Be careful when buying from Harbor Freight. Their stuff is cheap, sure. But it's for a good reason. The products are, typically, very cheaply made.

Added BesTop cover and Team Rubicon sticker. Sticker alone has to add 20hp, right?!

    I'm sure.

The shackle and everything feels stout, not sure how it would compare and perform.

Swapped out my rims and tires. Put the Moto's with worn out BFG AT's in storage and threw on my stock TRD alloys with a nearly new set of BFG AT's. We are supposed to get our first measurable snow fall this afternoon/evening.

Even with hub centric adapters, my stock TRD rims ride so much smoother than the Motometals...makes me think twice about putting them back on in the spring...might just sell em and order some black TRD rims from TRDparts4U.

He made it on a waterjet so not really, his own design. We're trying to work out how much for each one to pay for materials and such.

You're the first one to show interest so far. Once we get things worked out I'll create a post for it and see how it goes. I need to get better pictures too.

Ok...after thinking a little I am wondering I'd I put a "tacoma" sticker on the outside then plasti dip or paint over the lens then peel the sticker off if it would give kind of the same efect.

You could try it, the one I have I can take out and change it to a different one and re-use it but if you just plan on keeping it the same I'm sure it would work fine.

Unless they found a different supplier, do NOT buy Tractor Supply's "hi-lift" jack. I've since thrown it in the scrap pile, and it's probably been melted down and turned into a fine Chinese product of some description by now.....It was not only poor quality, but EXTREMELY dangerous to boot.

Warn (The winch folks) makes a good one. I have one that's been on 9 different 4-wheel drives dating back to the mid '80's.

I know the Warn brand for sure. I guess the question is whether or not their current units are built as well as the 80's models. haha

The Harbor Freight "Haul Master" unit is $9.99.... Might be worth buying one simply to have until I can get a real one. LOL Might get away with some light pulling if needed.
