Not sure what the big commotion is. I've DD'd mine for a couple years on 35s and haven't had a problem yet. While driving 30k miles/yr.

 

You're also a 2nd gen. Im all for 35s on 2nd gens.

They were $425 shipped at 32lbs they were not cheap to ship hence the price. The $225.00 was a one time thing that I regretted as i was just starting out and building them in my Garage with no overhead and i still didn't make much when all said and done. I posted in the other thread if they can get 20 people to commit I'll run another batch but that's at full price of $425.00 shipped to anywhere in the lower 48. Other then that i won't be offering them until i have a chance to redesign them to a simpler design that can be mass produced cost effectively.

 

Makes sense. Its a big ass piece of steel thats for sure. I abuse the shit out of mine, so, thanks for making them when you did!

Over summer like normal. Pretty much all the time i have time.

I might be up for it this summer. I don't really want to wrench on Frank a ton. Just drive him. Tired of spending all summer with him on jack stands. So if i build something else that will keep my hands occupied haha

 

One day I will Ive got a few ideas in mind just need to find the time to do it!

We could probably do both in a week if i get a good start on the bumper. Should be able too now that i know more about how i like doing them. We will see man. Not sure how my next year of life is going to turn out haha

Don't get me wrong, I'd never go back and not sign up. Has taught me a lot, showed me more of the US, and helped me find a job I enjoy.

It's the political crap and being considered not as good of an employee on paper just because I don't volunteer enough compared to somebody that is terrible at their job so they volunteer all the time haha

I know! I'm always busy nowadays. Work it taking up more of my time temporarily. Will be worth it in the end if I get the job I signed up for in New Mexico. Doing pretty good though. Trying to get the truck back in shape maintenance wise now that I have a garage. Hard to do in the Winter though now that the motorcycle is put up for the season. Hoping that I can try to make a trip this Summer. But I've been saying that the past 2 Summers and something always comes up

 

As long as the person understands the work required and still want 35's I'd say go for it. The only reason I would argue not doing it for a DD is power loss, mpg loss, and a slight increase in price per tire.

 

I've given up on power with my truck as long as it does well in the trails, my mpg sucks already, and luckily my tires last quite a while. I've had my current ones for 2 and a half years and expect at least another year out of them.

I already talked to a local fab shop last year about getting the wheel well done lol

 

Blackdawg I need some help on a 99 3.4 taco I just picked up for the gf. Basically the temp gauge is pegged when driving around. I replaced the gauge sensor on the back of the engine with no results. Acts like it's not grounded somewhere. Also the fuel gauge reads empty all the time pulled the sender from the tank and it tested good. 3 ohms to like 100. Also acts like not grounded. Where are the grounds for these or is it something else.

I would definitely not recommend the Bozek alternative. It offered no Pinyan protection and there is a hole for the drain.

I guess is better than nothing though

I plan on picking up a full set from them once he gets the next group buy going. It'll be nice to be able to swing down and pick them up to save on shipping.

Hmm the ground for the sender should be the same as the pump I think. It's not caught on anything is it? Like the float?

The temp semsor I'm not totally sure. Gonna be a shared ground though somewhere in the harness. I've never dug apart a harnness so not much help I'm afraid

 

I can list about half a dozen things I don't like about that design either.

 

I know Jerry's are 1/4" not sure Id want 3/16 unde there. Bends to easy.
