Terrible Clutch on 07 V6?

The clutch in my 07 V6 Tacoma stinks to high heaven if it even has to be slipped a little, especially in 4WD. The first time I ever drove it in 4WD was in a snowstorm, and about halfway home the burning smell was awful. I brought it back to the dealer the next day, they found no problem, but almost any time I drive it in 4WD (even worse in 4L) the clutch smells like it's burning.
Before you jump on me, I've been driving manual transmissions for 39 years, have gotten over 150K out of several clutches, and have owned five Tacomas over the years. So I don't think it's me.
Just wondering if this is only a problem with mine or are they all like this? I'm seriously thinking of replacing the OEM clutch with an aftermarket unit (probably need a new flywheel by now, too). Any suggestions?

Did you buy it used? How many miles on it?

 

The first time I noticed mine would do that is when I had put it in 4L when i got into some soft sand at work one day. After that i notice that it only does it when its in 4WD. Ive even tried ridin the clutch a little in 2wd and i cant get it to do it. I owned an 03 srunner and an old school mazda that were both 5pds so i too know that its not operator error. Whats the deal????
