Checked and confirmed, fits on the 2016 with no issues. Toyota carried the same boxes into the new trucks. Still going to throw you a free one for the offer on helping. I am going to get up with shortly on sliders BTW. Guy is coming this weekend for fit up, then we will want you to come down too.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Sale has been live for not even 12 hours yet and we've already sold 7 tailgate caps, 6 ribbed skins, 4 sets of bolt on sliders, 2 pairs of locking bed storage doors, 2 recovery bars and a smooth skin. Keep them going!

    Here we go!

DOM stands for "Drawn Over Mandrel", it is how the steel mill process the tubing. So, steel in it's raw form when being made is crazy hot, almost like a liquid. Remember when T-1000 was melted at the end in Terminator, yeah, that was steel. DOM is made by pressing the liquid hot steel over a mandrel, through a die. The result is a seamless tube and a rock solid piece of steel. It is much more dent resistant than HREW, it also has no weld seam which is the weak point in HREW.

HREW stands for "Hot Rolled Electric Welded", which is another steel process. How this is made is a flat piece of hot rolled steel is formed in to the shape of the tube whether it is square, rectangle, round, etc. Then where the two edges meet to create a seam, it is robotic welded down that seam to in the lack of better words, melt the two pieces together. Then, the tube, if needed has the weld ground down on the outside. HREW is very common in structure and works just fine for almost everything, but that weld seam is a weak point.

Any more lessons, hit me up! I am full of dumb knowledge that most have no clue what it is. Haha
