I've used Dupli-Color on some center caps along with their clear coat, and they came out pretty nice, and have held up well.

If you don't mind the limited selection of colors, I have had great luck with Rustoleum Professional high performance enamel spray paint. I use it on everything, and it also stands up to rust very well.

Krylon Fusion for plastic. As far as blacks it comes in gloss, satin, and matte. I went with satin.

Home depot and Lowes sell that paint in gloss, semi gloss, or flat black. The flat works the best and the semi gloss ones I have bought only spray paint for a day, then only shoot out the propellant later on. I have not tried the gloss.

Ok have you painted your emblems does flat black or semi gloss look better?

Putting them back on do i need to buy no double sided tape or reheat the glue on them now and stick them back on place

Krylon for plastic for sure. I've used dozens of cans of that stuff on various different plastic parts, including an entire set of Yamaha Rhino plastics. It's always worked well for me. As will all painting projects, prep work is key.

I will probably scruff up the plastic first then spray them all black.

Krypton for plastics! I used it on my blacked out headlights to black out the chrome parts on the headlights. Works good with plastic stuff.

I scuff them. You can also spray on adhesion promoter for plastic before the paint, but I skipped that step. I just finished painting my front grille surround tonight. I did use adhesion promoter this time around because, well the front end takes a beating on the road.

Yup. I used 3m outdoor double sided mounting tape ( grey tape with red backing). It was a huge pain trimming small pieces of tape to go behind the emblems.
