    I was originally going to just get the front shocks and UCA's but I couldn't pass up the 20% off sale on Icon suspension parts. I saved almost $400 on shocks alone.

    I can already tell it's going to bug the shit out of me having those shocks sitting in the garage waiting who knows how long until I get the rest of the stuff.

    That was precisely my feeling!!! I wanted to get total chaos UCA's and still deciding on a leaf pack but know I want to stay in the 1.5" in the back. I didn't see any deals on those so get the ICON's while I can for lower costs :)

    Finally got the frame mounted Avid sliders installed today. They are very nice!

    Does it offer any further protection or add to functionality or is it merely for looks??

    I wanted them closer mainly I wouldn't have to step as far over them when getting in. I found this slightly annoying on my last truck. Kind of had to hop in.
    And it looks better IMO.

    Andrew, Ones I have and will be able to sell in a week or two are part number 56503R, Icon calls them extended travel and they are with the caveat that it is for up to 1.5" of rear lift over stock. I bought them as a package with the Icon 2 leaf add-a-leaf pack. If you want these add-a-leaf things they can be yours as well, but I don't know how much lift they will provide on another set of stock springs. (They may be tired too.)

    I am replacing them with longer Fox shocks, also remote resi. The cool thing about these Icon 2.0 VS shocks are they are rebuildable and revalvable, so you can modify them if you want to down the road. Actually I thought the damping with these was pretty darn good. The front Icon 2.5 coilovers were too soft for my use as delivered, but rebuilt and re-valved by APE are now working MUCH better for me. I am only swapping out the rear ICONs because I am installing a taller lift rear leafs.

    Icon makes shocks that would suit my needs but as it is custom order at about $690 the pair, Fox are a production part at $440. Both are well made and rebuildable. Kings are also available but even more $$.

    Sliders are all different, but all of them will save your ass in the rocks! Mine are a bit flatter than those above, but I can appreciate the tucked in strategy, thos look nice! I run Avid sliders as well, good stuff!
