Got my first battle scar yesterday. I guess a lift is in order for my rig in the near future. Probably will leave it, but curious if anybody knows how much the left composite bumper section of the three piece rear bumper costs? I'm leasing this truck and I may want to turn it in at the end of the lease (more than likely I won't, but just in case).

I read someplace on here the bumper sections are $160.00 each.

Is the painted section plastic or metal? Hard to tell.

Leave as is and fix everything (assuming you'll have more) at once before turning it back.

Lift only if you are DYI and can remove/reinstall stock bits yourself, assuming a turn back.

    If they're only $160 I'd replace it.

Somebody hit me in a parking lot a few days ago (just a few days from the dealership, of course). The list quote from Toyota for the corner bumper piece was around $196 I think so that $160 number from earlier in the thread seems about right. There's the support structure just underneath that was less than $200 as well though so that might be crumped up a bit but hopefully not. It is on mine, she hit it hard enough to punch through the plastic piece and hit the bracket underneath. That was a collision though of course, not dragging on an incline. Tail light assembly listed for just under $200 as well for anyone interested.

Thanks for the advice. Not really set up for DYI so until I'm 100% sure about buying it at the end of lease I'll be leaving it stock and just minding the inclines when I off road.

Thanks for the parts price figures, gives me a good ball park on what it will take to fix. Also, I did smash the plastic support bracket that connects to the center section of the bumper.

I was a little off but it balances out. Here's the quote they gave me, remember this is list. Passenger side, chrome. Got my tail light and the bumper cap confused.
