Good end to the Canucks / Stars game , I hate the shootout but glad we got a point after being down going into the 3rd

 

I really think the shoot out is boring compared to the 3/3 ... just keep it like the old days. Doubtful a 3/3 would ever get to 2nd 20 min ot without a goal being scored.

Yes, but the reason is they didn't want it to go on all night and with 3/3 there is little chance of that. Hell, stopping after 5 min and getting the shoot out set up and going is stupid lame when the game would have been decided most likely letting it go on way before the shoot out is even over.

 

The reason they have a 5 minute overtime in reg season is so the players don't play more hockey in the reg season than they agreed to in the collective bargaining agreement between the NHL and NHLPA

Meh, your number 2 and 3 could carry you for the rest of the season just fine. Montreal needs to let Price heal rather than force him back into the net to appease the rabid Montreal fanbase. Let's be honest, none of this season matters to Montreal unless they reach the finals. This is their time and the window will only last so long. If Price only played the last 25ish games of the season as a warmup and then hit the playoffs it might be the best thing for the Habs since he's really their best chance for a cup.
