How can you tell if you have TSB or not?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You need to be more specific as there are many TSB's for your truck out there.

Look in the mirror and stick out your tounge. If it is pink, then you have TSB. I would go to the doctor.

 Just messin... Like the other poster said, you will have to be more specific. There are alot of TSB. It is a Technical Service Bulletin. It is a fix for a specific problem that has been released by Toyota.

    Dang....I knew I wasn't feeling well....

Most likely you are referring to the leaf spring TSB (harsh ride)... I think the easiest way to tell is if you have 4 leafs instead of the factory 3. But, that could also be a aftermarket AAL. I don't have the part numbers to verify. Someone will correct me if I am wrong, very shortly and probably with a slam to my mechanical acumen....

Does the leaf-spring TSB apply to 2WD as well as 4WD trucks? I thought the copy of the TSB that was linked in another thread specifically mentioned that the TSB applied only to 4WD trucks. My eyes are bleeding after reading all the TSB posts in an attempt to confirm that.

Cool, my truck's got the 3-spring part numbers listed above and a squirrelly rear end under load.

    Thanks.

    Depends.

    T-SB-0305-08 Rev1 January 12, 2009 [rear suspension]
    APPLICABLE WARRANTY
-This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date.
-Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer’s specific complaint.

    T-SB-0373-09 November 3, 2009 [transmission - ECM reflash]
    APPLICABLE WARRANTY
-This repair is covered under the Toyota Federal Emission Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 96 months or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

It appears that some owners got free suspension TSB service beyond the 36k-mile/36-month period. Some others, whose trucks were beyond the warranty limits and were denied the TSB service, opted to purchase aftermarket parts rather than the Toyota package.
