Looking for some knowledge please. I want the ko2's bfg 285/75/16 but the cheapest iv found was tire rack for 210$ a piece! Anyone know of any other places that might be cheaper?

I just replaced my stock tires with the following. A tad more height and so far no more road noise then the stock tires.
Tires are 265/75-17. I was headed up to Sequoia to the snow and wanted to replace the stock tires that were getting close to the end of life. I don't think I needed the tire cables with the new tires but the Forest Service required me to put them on.

 

Got new shoes! Just picked up some BFG A/T 285/75/16 KO2, currently running some past due KOs, excited to feel the difference.

I have been doing some research on tires an I though I would share what I have compiled. I tried to get the specification information that was important to me. If it is not listed then I could not find it within 5 or so clicks of the mouse but I am sure it is out there. I tried to get the prices from the same sourse but since not all tire stores carry the same brand it was imposible. I used 3 or 4 different places for pricing and it includes shipping to my front door. The prices are listed as a general idea of how much they cost. I know they can always be found cheaper but I was not going to dig for the rock bottom price on all these tires.

My criteria is a good all around "All-Terrain" tire. It's my daily driver and will only see 1000 miles per year OFF ROAD. For me that is about 10% of my driving. I am looking for a tire that I feel has a good balance of what I want in a tire. --- Load Range SL or C, Low Weight, Low Noise, Solid Traction In All Types Of Terrain, Price, and A Good Looking Tread Pattern. --- All the specifications are very close and I am sure these are all awesome tires, otherwise they would not sell so many of them. I am just finding the one that is right for me. I will find that tire by doing research and geeking out on numbers. Its what I like to do. I think that is what a lot of us like to do and that is why we are online reading eachothers opinions and tinkering with our Tacomas or other stuff in our spare time.

I did list 3 that I know I will NOT buy due to the fact that they are a bit too aggressive for what I want. However, I am sure thay are fantastic tires and I wanted to included them for comparison sake.

If you are looking for Toyota Tires try Toyota Parts Guys they are very good and very affordable. Best that I have seen online.

 

Any rubbing with those? I have a 99' with a 2.5 bilstien lift and wondering if they will fit.

 

I'm on 2.5 icons, no rubbing on the street, off roading, I had to trim some of the plastic inside the fender well. Nothing too bad

Edit: @FirstGen Jer forgot to mention I'm on a 3"spindle lift with the icon 2.5, sorry

Does anybody have a chart that includes comparisons of tire weight? Like the one a couple post above but with M/Ts.

I currently run nitto trail graps but I'd like to find something a little lighter. I'll probably go with stt pros but I'd like to see a comparison. I can't find one anywhere

 

desert rat has whole wheel packages for what others just sell the tires for. i believe DR is doing the 285/75/16's KO2's for under $200.

Like your MTZ just put STZ on my 2015 DC,SB. Almost put the MTZ's but not necessary for type of driving I do. Love Mickey T's had them on my Van back in the day. Nice riding tire , plenty of traction. Trying to get a good deal on the Mickey T's classic III wheels.
