they will pay invoice or less and then add TDA and 11 dollars for gas. They will pay that but they will get a lot of money back from Toyota as holdback, distributor as holdback, and something for their sales tier from last month. Holdback is 2% of base MSRP, holdback from distributor is usually like 50-90 bucks, and tier things are either money or allocation choices. No one there will tell you any of this and they will not answer about it if they are asked about it.

690 off MSRP is nice, but what are they going to add to it?

Thanks for info. I've been reading about the holdback and dearler cost but like you said they aren't going to talk about that. It makes me feel better to hear that $690 off is good. I'm going to go in tomorrow and see if I can work out a deal with add-ons like D rings, door sills, bed mat, and weather tech mats (they said they use them so hopefully they will have them designed by Jan).

10% off what number? There's no way they will take off 3400 dollars from MSRP. You better call them up and get something in writing.

Town and Country has been discounting theirs significantly from the beginning. Not sure if they're selling at actual cost or they're able to reduce cost because of how they operate (salaried employees, no commission, everything done via tablet, etc). Showed a local dealer their price and they pulled up the invoice and it was below invoice by a good margin. I considered going there when I bought mine since it was only a couple hour drive but they didn't have anything in stock that I wanted.

I live chatted with them and the only additional cost was supposedly tax and a $689 admin fee. They had already sold the truck I was inquiring about but said I could come up and they could order or try to swipe one shipping soon.

How does this Costco pricing sound, a 7545A with a MSRP of 33,790 for 32,477 + tax and tags? Thats for a TRD DC OR MT with tow package and mud flaps.

So I've been looking around for a TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 w/ Premium & Tech package (non-JBL). That package here also comes with the towing package and bed cover.

I did the whole True Car thing and the lowest price I could get was $35,9XX. I went to the dealership who was offering that price, even though they didn't have that specific config in stock, and was told that they don't match it for trucks they have to order.

Best price he could do was $36,997 before taxes and fees, which was around $1,300 off MSRP. With 6.25% tax ($2,312) and various other fees totaling $600, I was looking at $39,9XX OTD. I told him I'd put the money down for an order right then and there if they could do $38,500 OTD, but they wouldn't budge from that price. No way I was going to pay almost $40k for that... Guess I have a lot more shopping around or waiting to do :(

Where do you live and where are you buying?

They should be happy to take less to order. They will do less work overall so they deserve less but I they just want a sale NOW so they will only give you a deal for what's on the lot. It's Neanderthal business practices,,, but they are car salesmen...

Houston, TX. Don McGill Toyota of Katy. There are plenty of other dealers in the area but they are all around the same price. And from what I've read, Gulf States Toyota, the distributor of all dealerships in TX and other nearby states, has a higher invoice price compared to the rest of the country. They also add the bed cover and tow package with the Prem & Tech package and you can't get it without them unless you want to wait 3 months. Oh and they also add paint protection and other BS things that I would never order.

One of the fees in that $600 random fees grouping was a $200 charge for what the salesperson told me was a sticker with the VIN on various parts.. I asked him $200 for stickers?!?

You make him show you what that is on a truck they have on the lot. When you see it, you tell him you won't be paying 200 dollars for that. What are the other 400 dollars in fees?

thata what ive been finding in dallas area....wanted a TRDOR but couldnt gey for price i wanted so getting SR5 4x4 for about 3k less....that price sounds pretty good with tonneau, tow and prem tech.....gulf states invoices are the same as the cost list in the other post from what ive seen but you have to add delivery(950) to that....dealer invoice will show invoice+del+TMF+two holdbacks+final reserve, which adds about 2500 to that invoice price we think we should be working from......havent found anybody below 500 above all that, and brother i have talked to everybody.....if you play hardball, they just dont call you back.....they are selling as many as they can without trying, and special orders dont matter

SR5 with the Premium and Tech package? I thought that was only available on the TRD ORs and Sports. *Edit*- I think you were talking about my price, and not the SR5 with those options.

Also a fleet manager I spoke with at another Don McGill said that their invoice for the 7542 with the HH, TO, and TC was $36,400. If you calculate it from the cost list, it comes out to $35,431 including the $950 delivery fee.

The fees you listed sound about right. Total with taxes and all the fees came out to just under $3000.

That's a good deal with fees and taxes/tags included. MSRP for that truck should be close to $40k that's a fully loaded DCLB OR 4WD
