09 compass

Has anyone found a compass and outside temp gauge for an 09 basic access cab as earlier models do not work?

You can get the actual board and I think the display is attached to it from Toyota parts for about $225.00. But if your console has the garage door opener, then you will have to get a new console or mod your current one. If you have grey interior I think you could get an older console with the compass and then swap out the gauge for the '09 gauge. Unfortunately I have the sandstone / tan interior and models before '09 did not have the compass as an option with that color.

Maybe someone can correct me on any of the above if I am wrong?

Might be cheaper/easier to just get an aftermarket mirror with temp/compass functionality... especially if you have an 09+ with the tan interior.

 

Would the backup camera still be in aftermarket mirrors? I do use mine when finishing a backup and checking before backing up. But if the aftermarkets have the cam, compass and temp then that would be a great option.

 

I believe that they're there, but it might not be cheaper now. I read "basic access cab" as being no backup mirror, but I see on the OP's profile that it's an SR5.
