I've only had it a short time but it seems very secure. I haven't noticed any flapping. Overall I'm very impressed with the quality.

One of the main reasons I don't want fabric. It will never last through the weather. I wanted one or those leer or ARE fiberglass solid covers on springs but they are so expensive and I need to be able to take it off to put on a cap for camping.

The fabric is thick canvas and I'm expecting it to hold up well for many trouble free years. If any problems arise I can rely on Softoppers stellar customer service to help me with any repairs or replacement parts.

I had an Access Loredo roll up on my 2006.... It was in great shape when I traded her in for the 16....I just cleaned every now and then with 303 cleaner and then 303 protectant... it's a great roll-up if that's what ya want....(full bed access in 10 seconds)..

It had Velcro an the sides and you can stretch it tight as a drum.....also..3, 1" bars go across from side to side... to hold her in place.

I live in Muskoka...."the land of big snow" ... it held up under everything mother nature could throw at it...Including 3' snowfalls....

This time I decided to go the hard cover Extang solid 2.0... Ask me next year which is best..!!

I don't think that the Access is better overall and sorry if I said so. But I do think that it's better for my needs. The Access cover video that you posted don't look like the right one for the Tacoma with rails. It does mount differently. And unless I'm missing something myself with the Lo Pro you loose a lot of bed width. Once again, I've had great luck with the Access, I like the way that it mounts BEHIND the rail and permits full use of the rail system.
But really, either one is probably a very good choice. Isn't it great to have choices?

Yesterday we learned that the OEM cover isn't very durable. I had my Charbroil Big Easy in the bed with the first panel folded over (not strapped down) since I was only going a few miles down the road. Well, it flipped down as I was driving and smashed the handle to the fryer and cracked it. Lesson learned, strapped the fucker down like it was designed. I was a little disappointed with how thin the plastic was and how "cheap" it seemed. I'm used to a Roll n Lock, and not the folding covers, so they all may be similar with the plastic construction.

I got an email from Truxedo....5’ bed is 556001 and 6’ is 557001.

I called a few places this AM. Best I was able to get was $399 shipped from Tonneau Cover World which is part of Autocustoms apparently.

Said it would be 5-7 business days.

I'll post some pics after I get it installed.

Sounds like you can't go wrong with either the low pro or the agricover.

I had thought the same when I was buying but my local guy swayed me toward the Truxedo Lo Pro QT. He said it's just because of the warranty and service. I haven't used the warranty yet but a friend of mine just did for his TruXport he has on his Tundra and he was telling me that he had a great experience with the CS rep. I'm super happy with my Lo Pro and would definitely buy one again

Keep in mind that losing that space at the top of the bed doesn't matter to a lot of folks. None of the stuff that I will have in the bed needs all of the side-to-side and/or front-to-back space. Granted, if you're hauling around a lot of large rectangular or round objects, it might be an issue. For me, nope. If I ever need to haul something that takes up all of the space, I'll just remove the cover for the haul. It'll be rare though as I haven't needed to do so in the past.

I'd debate that one with you. I've had the same BestTop on my Jeep for 15 years and it just started leaking this year. And the spot that is leaking is not due to wear, it got punctured by a massive thorn. Fixed it with gorilla tape. And it has never spent a night in a garage. 15 years is a nice long run.

Yeah please do post some pics when you get the Lo Pro QT on your truck. Says in the description you cannot use the tie downs in the tracks. I guess I could live without them though.

A quick question as the answer is not quite clear to me reading this thread but, does either the Access cover or Lo Pro QT prevent you from being able to use the bed rail cleats? If so, in what way? Also, do either or both of these cover prevent using the OEM bed/cargo divider?
    Thanks

The cleats can still be used with the Lo Pro although from experience it is tight. The Access bolts up behind the rails so I'm not sure if the divider works or not

OK. So an actual owner says the cleats can be used, barely, and the distributor says they can't.

Yes. A actual owner that has "'09 Sport DC LB Met Grey" listed as his truck.
