For the money I don't think it's a bad kit, just needs a few modifications. Mainly vertical mount the steering box and run a flat arm vs. their drop arm and upgrade all the joints with Barnes Enduro joints and beef the traction bar mounts as they are only 3/16". The 4WU kit is fawkin tits though, there's a few install's on pirate4x4. If you interested in the TG kit I think Addicted Offroad has installed one or two.

4WU kit is like the Rolls Royce of link kits IMO. It's not just a "kit" It's been proven to work phenomenally and all the geometry is set-up for you.

Anybody have some good 3 and 4-link primer sites and/or calculators?

This might be a stupid question :bananadead: but what are the negatives of going 3-link over springs if any?

As far as links vs. Leafs? The main con is cost/set up but the pros of links out weigh that. Or are you referring to coils vs. Coilovers?

Yeah, leafs vs links. Trying to decide on the road map for my 85 pickup.

Not sure how much or what all you wheel but most that go leafs and wheel a lot end up going to links.

Okay that's my impression too. After doing the rubicon in my tacoma I decided I will never again wheel hard trails with IFS. I bought the pickup with the intentions of making it a dedicated trail rig and started looking at redoing the suspension. Then I started to think about the philosophy of doing it once and doing it right and here I am.

    As it sits today

IMO there is NO cons of chosing links over leafs. Way better in every single way. That's from someone that has 5 years of leaf experience.

I'm sure they will. Brian is awesome to deal with from what I hear.

I need to swap out my poor little 22re and then I'll probly get a 4wu setup.

From what thegame told me was that he'll only separate if someone is looking to buy the axle end and someone else doing the frame end. Doesn't sound like they'll split otherwise.
