My dog "marked" my couch this morning.

It earned him a banning from our house (when alone) and he will spend most of the rest of eternity OUTSIDE! Maybe he can hang out with Barko...they sound like they'll get along.

 

Well, actually, yes.
I'm in Hawaii and its hot- but the area we live in is dry. It rains like ten days outta the year so piss kinda gets baked in. I've also got the bed mat so piss can get under that, too.
There's nothing like walking up to your truck and having it smell like a ball park urinal.
Truth be told he's already had enough of his nose and face rubbed in it that he knows better.
He knows better cause if I say "Don't piss in my truck"
he starts slinkin around.
But he is my faithful buddy and I just have to remind him for a while when I park and leave him in the bed. Going for a ride for him basically is a means to be transported in order to mark his territory far and wide. Oh and it also means he can turn donuts and get excited when he sees feral goats or mongooses.
Nonetheless, he got his pardon from the "guhvnuh".
We cruised town and went shopping and he was quite happy.
He got to cock his leg all over Kona, today. But just not in my truck.
Then a sunset cruise to the local supermarket......................................
