Interesting. Usually you get a pronounced clunk in your front end prior to complete failure. And the clunk can last quite a while. Perhaps proper maintenance could have prevented that.

You ordered 40 light bars?? Or 40" light bars? LoL

I need a decent 20" at some point for the Pelfreybilt bumper I ordered. :) But I'm basically broke now.

Edit: Now I see where it says "two 40".

I saw a 20" Cree on Amazon last night for like $40. Seemed pretty cheap.

Just got my 10,000 mile service and had to look at the 16's. I'm feeling pretty good with my 15. I parked next to this one but had to leave because I had 3 salesmen coming in for the kill image.jpg

This weekend, I pulled off my bumper and tow hitch assembly:
    IMGP5937.jpg IMGP5941.jpg

Took apart entire bumper, cut-off broken rusty pieces.
    IMGP5955.jpg

Scraped, wire brushed, power washed to get off as much rust flakes/layers as possible. Then a couple coats of Rustoleum "Rusty Metal Primer"
    IMGP5958.jpg

Finally banged out the giant left crease in my bumper that I got in a hit and run parking lot incident (2 weeks after bought the Tacoma in late '04.) All the other little dents and dings I left on the bumper to keep its "personality" intact. Inside of bumper was painted with Rusty Metal Primer. Today, exterior was sprayed with Rustoleum Self-Etching Primer and will get a couple coats of black Bed Liner the next few days.
    IMGP5975.jpg

The inside of the bumper reinforcement sub-assembly was rusty, so I injected 6 ozs of primer (after sealing all the holes with clear tape) into the oval tube rocked/rolled it around to coat the inside. I let it drain into a container afterwards and used the drained stuff to prime the outside of the sub-assembly.
    IMGP5973.jpg

Hitch was spray painted gloss black and reinstalled.
    IMGP5962.jpg

Since bumper's not ready, I had to temporarily bolt on the license plate since I still need to get to work.

In my honest opinion...the front end of the 2015 Tacoma is pretty much perfect.

So how does one check for lower ball joint issues? I have a popping sound every once in a while when turning left or backing left. It sounds more like a spring sound but not sure. Drives straight, no pulling.
