Just for some background, I didn't have a taco before but I did have a V6 4.0L 2007 Nissan Frontier.

I usually run it with the ECT mode disabled to save some gas and can then feel the engine wanting to upshift at lower RPMs. In these situations, it does feel a little less truck-like and more 4 cylinder sedan. However, as soon as you enable the ECT mode, it feels and sounds exactly like what a truck should sound like (a little muffled of course and a lot smoother thanks to the redesigned interior and great suspension).

So if you're worried about the power behind the new 3.5L, don't. You just need to be willing to lose a few MPGs when you want the extra power.

I just came from Servco and the way they "pre-build" their taco's limits the consumer's ability to really get what they want. Case in point, I want a Super White TRDORSB 4x4 with premium package (includes moon roof, blind spot, and all that fancy crap, but most importantly color matches the rear bumper to the body color instead of the chrome). To get this configuration, Servco only has it with a Tonneau cover and V6 tow package tacked on, which is an additional $650 each. From what I understand, the tonneau cover does not fold all the way up against the rear windows to allow full access to the bed, rendering it useless for me to carry my bikes. I asked to special order one and they said this was the only option and the expected delivery is APRIL!!!!

Sorry for the rant on my first ish post, but I'm gonna search around other dealers from the mainland and see if I can get exactly what I want and maybe a better price even after shipping it here since Servco doesn't really budge from the MSRP...

What have you done to your truck lately
You can always get it and sell the tonneau cover.:D

I thought that would be an option but I read on here somewhere that they actually cut into the bed to install the tonneau cover from the factory, meaning if you were to remove it you would see the aftermath.

I was running 275/70/17 KO2's on TRD rims (11mm offset) for a week without any rub. You should be good with 265/70/17 on stock rims easy.

Here's mine now with full OME setup on 885's.

My favorite out here so far, mostly because its the DCLB OR 4x4 plus your choice of wheels/tires. How much was it out the door, minus the lift and wheels/tires?
