    1) I'm frugal

    2) IF I was a regular long haul driver, I might consider it. But my overall mileage is modest, and my truck mileage, in particular, is low. So my available listening time isn't enough to justify the cost.

    3) I'm frugal

    4) When I do road trip (along interstates), if I tire of local radio stations, my 'ole CD collection, or just good conversation with a passenger, I can use my phone for Pandora, internet broadcast stations, Slacker, I Heart, etc. My all-you-can-eat data plan handles it fine. And my plan is a bargain. When travelling backroads (my preference) I like to run windows open, no tunes. Habit from drop top sports car driving I suppose.

    5) I'm frugal

    6) I'd rather spend that money on other things. Many of which are charitable in nature. Many would say I'm generous. And I have the ability to be that way because

    7) I'm frugal :D

I looked at it pretty close this morning. It appears to have a slight taper. Meaning I'm not sure the ball would reattach w/o being drilled out, which would be testy w/o micro machine shop tools.

Of course an alternative, like a vacumn nipple cap, could be used. Or just some plastic roses like some grannies use to find their vehicle in the parking lot. Maybe an old fishing bobber or something 'artistic'.

Still may give it a go. If I do, will take pics. If I muff it up, I don't have to tell anyone, right? :anonymous:

    My lips are sealed..

It isn't meant to detach, which is why everybody puts it back on with epoxy.

I'd be more inclined to do it if the thing was threaded. Alas.. all things can't be easy, I guess. :D

Works for me. If I weren't in my truck so much, I wouldn't pay for it either.
