I have read a crap load of posts about plating the frames of older Tacomas, but has anyone renforced the frame on a 2005+ Tacoma? I did see the one post about that bad ass SAS, but other than that.
    Just wondering.

Plating is usually done to fix a weak area (rust) or for adding strength to withstand stresses that it wasn't designed for, as in custom steering or and suspension. It is not something that you should need to worry about unless your truck sees some extreme use. There were a few '05s that had weak motor mounts that needed some plating but that was fixed in the '06+ years.
