I want to take a trip to big bear middle of December, but it looks like there's gonna be no snow. Anyone live around there and could give me some insight? I don't wanna go if there's no snow up there.

Gotcha... I'd think there would be much more come January. I went last year for new years and they were only getting their 2nd storm of the season I think, and the first one was just a few days before lol.

Wait for El Nino...if it ever happens.

Yea depends on where you're at. I had friends go on trails and said there was no snow. The trail I go on, had so much snow we couldn't push forward and had to turn around after a mile or so. Just depends on where you go. I usually do crab flats road.

I have been up to Big Bear a handful of times in the last couple months but not since the recent minimal snow fall. There are some of us TW members who might go back up there in the next week or so.Here are some trails that could be closed.

I have a trip planned for Dec 19th and Jan 23. There better be snow!

The reports from other people suggest theres about 2-3 in on the ground now.

The past two years. Just have to go on trails where the sun doesn't hit.

This was last year up Rim of the world drive to Coxey Rd. I think we stopped at 3N93 because they stop clearing the roads at that point.
