I am new here. I have a 2015 Toyota Tacoma sport with 265/65r17 stock, and I wanna put a lift kit on it. Has anyone tried the ready lift kits and are they any good? I wanna do a 3" lift in the front and 1" in the rear. With that lift, i wanna be able to put a 33" tire or 32" with keeping factory 17" wheels. I just want menu truck to look more fierce. I was talking to the guy with this specific product and he said most later models will be at least 1/2 degree off on the control arm and camber specs. He said most people will come out just needing to get tires rotated and an alignment to avoid buying a 800 dollar control arm. I want some advice

    He's full of shit.

    Ready Lift isn't great.

What's your budget? What are your intended uses or needs?

My budget would be like 1200. I don't do a lot of off roading, but like I said, I want it to look mean

Are you ok with trimming? you WILL HAVE TO for 33's
You need new UCA's with a 3" lift no matter what. If you don't, lift under 2.5"
Your "guy" is a liar and full of it..

3" or more you can expect to need UCA's.

Fact of the matter is with a 3" lift you'll most likely need UCAs.. those are $375 for Light Racing UCAs on the least expensive end of the spectrum. I know of only one member who is at 3" (I think he's over, actually) and swears he doesn't need UCAs. That said.. who knows. He hasn't posted alignment numbers.

You should be able do a 3" lift on that budget, maybe need a couple hundred more depending on your choices. That doesn't include tires, obviously.

You could always buy the lift and get UCAs later - like I did.

I have a full OME setup which rides great, and I'm in it about $1300 without UCAs. 2.5" up front and just under 2.75" in the rear with 265/75/16s.

Hell of a great lift both on and offroad..OME here too

OP, are you going to actually use the truck for it's intended use with a lift kit and bigger tars or will you be cruising mall parking lots?

My setup - it's aggressive enough to me, and I have a mild all terrain.

Really aiming for the bang for my buck option which leads me to the 5100 885 Aal set up. Would love to go icon stage one. But that's some coin. My issue is I just put on 265/75/16 coopers. Was forced to, due to a screw in the tire... Had to upgrade before I was ready for the lift. By the way I have a 2WD 2012 DCSB TRD Off-Road.
I don't want to look like I skip leg day with my 265's vs. most guys running 285's. Any suggestions would be appreciated. @HeadStrong Off-Road seems to have the best price for the complete kit....
Any advice, ideas, insight is appreciated. Trying to be nice to my wallet. I'm a teacher and paying off student loans. Therefore thin wallet, and unhappy gf...
Have also looked at the Wheelers kits with the progressive AAL. Lots of options and places, just want to make sure I get the best bang for my buck. Most of my driving is highway, I do some off road when possible, mostly fireroads up in Mammoth or Santa Barbara County. Just looking for a guiding hand
