    Turkey and drumsticks came out amazing. Smoked whole bird for 2 hrs then roasted for 2 more. Was the best turkey I've ever had. Smoked the drumsticks for 3 hours and they were great too

    The turkey on thanksgiving was somewhat bland and we didn't take home any of the left overs so today I'm smoking a turkey and also a turkey breast for my grandparents.     Good smoke flavor! Not overbearing considering it's already smoked and cooked. If anything, maybe lower temp for more smoke flavor! I like!

    Looks great. What did you do to it? More smoke you say, I like that? There is no such thing as too smokey IMO.

    Just put it straight on the grill with hickory at 225 for 4 hours. Last 30 minutes placed in a foil pan with the glaze packet. That's it. Easy peasy.

    Did you qoute yourself to get some help? I've read those mazes just don't work that well, especially in pellet grills. Maybe try covering the top with foil once you get it going?

    The tube does work, once you get it burning. Maybe time to dump the maze for a tube. I turn my tube upright, add an inch of pellets, mix in a little pellet dust, add an inch of pellets, then a little more dust, repeat. Burn the top layer with a torch until the whole top is going and there is a flame a couple inches high. Let it go like that for 10 minutes or so before laying the tube over.

    Can't speak for the pellet mazes, but I love the dust ones. Light it and forget it, 6-7 hours of perfect smoke. Never any problems.

    I just ordered a 12" tube from A-maze-n to try in my Weber gasser when doing quick grills. They had 20% off sale going for Thanksgiving that I jumped on.

    The dust mazes work great...i've used mine for years now to cold smoke cheese. This video sold me on the pellet tube and I am now considering a Yoder YS640 smoker after seeing this video and Conundrum's results with his.

    Thanks for the information I will check it out. I was an anti-pooper guy for a long time after burning sticks for so many years but seeing how flexible a cooker like a YS640 made me change my opinion. I showed my wife that video over the weekend and she said to let's start saving for it!
