Like I have been saying, you have to understand the cycles....
The dollar is at the end of it's cycle so you have to be prepared...

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-...nclusion-sdr-basket-now-comes-hard-part-china
    dollar down 30% this year
    [IMG]

The Yuan is now being added to the SDR basket.... This is very big because now there is an alternative to the dollar, so dollar demand will continue to drop... And China can start to demand countries use the Yuan to do trade, not dollars, China is the biggest dollar customer and they will keep reducing their dollar holdings...

Unless our GOV does something substantial it is easy to see the writing is on the wall for the dollar...
When China goes to a gold backed Yuan it will kill the dollar in world trade...

All of this will lead to high inflation...
    So plan for high inflation:
    1. reduce debt
    2. lower cash flow
    3. live below your means now
    4. buy real assets
    5. find income streams
    6. use your dollars now for things you need, don't wait till they buy less
    7. prepare for shortages
    8. live healthy life style
    9. reduce dependence on medications
    10. use local banks not national banks

The best way to buy is cash through local coin stores, but sometimes not as practical so larger online stores may work better...
I use apmex because of good supply and fast delivery...

To sell in volume you can sell to a coin store or someone you know...
But ebay for a roll or so, it will depend on how much it goes up, I don't plan on selling for 10 years or so, unless prices get crazy, I'll have to take advantage of the situation... I think the price will go up enough to make it easy to sell...

I hope I can hold and just sell a few each month during retirement, it depends on the cycles when I will start selling...

Again PMs are for long term holding long term 2-5 years not for flipping short term...

And I recommend getting American eagle 1 oz coins or Canadian maple 1 oz coins in silver or gold and silver is the better value...

$5 right now, an eagle goes for 19.29 now and that's about as cheap as it gets....

Coin price doesn't drop as low as spot does.... It should go high enough that it won't matter what you pay now...

This happened in 2008 also, the spot tanked but physical price held higher...

All that matters is how many you have and buying when the price dips like now....

Doesn't seam to matter. They are making over 40 million a year. I like getting new ones with the fresh dies...

If you are just starting out, I recommend to get American Eagles (gold or silver). They are recognized by the world and will be the easiest to sell.

Get the newest eagles you can find. The older ones sell for more.

As far as what is a good price over spot, search all sources (local and online such as Ampex or JM Bullion) and compare premiums over spot.

Yeah, I'm lazy and just go to APMEX but you should shop price because every dollar you save can get you more oz and getting oz is the goal...

After the SHTF and you want to convert some of your PMs the only thing that will matter is how many ozs you have...

Any PMs are good and name band PMs will bring the most and sell the fastest...

I have a little of everything, so I even diversify my PMs holdings...

and after see this, I may go back to buying PMs with cash to stay off the radar.......
All registrations hand over true ownership to the gov. That's why all property that you registered is at risk to, confiscation, tax, fees and regulations...
That is why they hate PMs, they hold all the value with no registration, no serial # and no tracking...
And because they are money they can't tax them..."lawfully"
So take advantage of the system while it last....
As soon as the west no longer prices PMs they will go though the roof.... so another year or 2 at best.....
