I don't know. I asked but no one answered.....I went ahead and bought mine

 

I think he was saying the the 60" extreme fits but not the regular 60". I believe the top portion is different between the two..but don't quote me on that. And that's weird about the material not being made for constant use; I use the crap out of mine and haven't had any problems. I bought the repair kit for it just in case.

On another note I'm looking at a 60 inch hi lift, does anyone know if it'll fit in a 5 foot bed?

So the issue with the 60" regular and 60" X-Tream is the actual length of the lift. Take a look at the pics below. The regular one has an angular top piece that adds several extra inches to the total length where the X-Tream has the spreader/rescue adaptor that sits flush from the manufacture. Both are removable so there actually should not be a problem with the possible exception to the regular one as I do not know if you can mount the top portion farther down the spine like you can the X-Tream. Oscar should be able to shed some light on that know.

I guess I should pick up a hi-lift

 

Make sure to get the 60". It'll fit.
