Wanna do this to the tailgate, but leave the letters blue. Any ideas on the easiest way to do this?

 

Buy and apply the vinyl decals. Mask. Plastidip. Unmask. Pull decals.

 

Someone did that with an inferno.

 

After seeing that I'm not sure how much like it. Looked better in my head.

 

Agreeed! I do like the way the blacked out letter looks though.

 

I was wanting to do the same but I agree, doesn't look like I expected.

 

Stopped by to see my buddy at his shop and saw him working on this custom grill and skid plate combo. Its being sent off to get powder coated later today. He's thinking of making a couple sets if he can find the interest

 

I took it off as soon as I drove it home from the dealership lol

Very much like the fact that it doesn't have screw heads around the perimeter like some of the other options out there.

Surprisingly, a little hair dryer and some rubbing did the trick. I sent you a PM btw, will need a new Lion head >=) I've decided to go with a new color choice, seeing everything else come together. The white will stand out to much, so if you can do blue stickers that'll be A-mazing.

 

That was my first choice, but it became to damn hard for me to get the lines right, or to stay behind. I would peel off my tip and do it that way once I either have the time to test my patience, or if I learn of others who have success at doing that. So far this was the only viable option I could come across.

Edit:
Looking at that picture with the inferno, I may leave it blacked out... not sure yet. Will need to take some time to ponder.
