Glad some of you were able to use the Black Friday sale. We had over 3000 orders--about double of last year's sale!

This is literally 18.3 pounds of USPS labels from Monday morning, excluding UPS, wholesale, backorders, and Monday's orders.

 

Just finished up a retrofit in 01-04 blinker housings

 

Already got my paper spacers and sti-r clear lens. I'm going to order the muranos this friday. Couldn't get it during black friday, still stoked!

Ok i finally bit the bullet and ordered a set of Depo lights off of Amazon. I haven't had the time to pull my lights off the truck and assemble the mini D2S kit, so they've been sitting in my garage for months! Now I can work on these in my free time and get a set together! Need to also figure out a way to really strengthen all of the tabs so they don't snap on me the first time I go hard offroad.

 

Good idea! I did a set for a friend here and his tabs snapped on him. I don't remember what brand it was, but it wasn't oem

 

Did you buy it under the special group buy?

 

Every time I begin to think about this part, I resort back to buying that tape that bonds stronger than steel once it hardens. Saw it at Lowes couple months back, used to tape for example, a broom handle back together after it snaps and such. I figure wrapping the mounts a couple times would prolong their life. With that said there's still no permanent solution since plastic will always have a weak link when you beat on it. I currently have 2 broken tabs being held together with a couple inches of duct tape haha

 

Yea I'm thinking if I slather all the tabs in some rubber epoxy itll give them all enough elasticity that theyll flex rather than break. Even if i have to put 1/4" of epoxy all around each tab lol

 

How I'd do it: metal flat stock with the tab, mounting the stock bolt through it at the end of the tab, and then running a bolt with washers and nuts near the housing itself. Should help support the load quite well.

 

AND EPOXY! But yea, thats a great idea for the upper tabs, but that bottom tab that connects to the fender is usually the first to break, so maybe I can get some flat metal bent around it and epoxied to it for added strength.

 

I wouldn't use any epoxy here because it will likely not bond well to the housing plastics. I've had issues with that before.

 

Damn. Gotta think of something! That bottom tab breaks if you look at it wrong lol
