I've done parts of both of those; Tray Mountain is great easy fun ride, Beasly Knob is a more intense with lots of whoopdeedoos and steep climbs. There is also durhamtown off I20 and Rocky flats. I'm going to try and do Rocky Flats before the end of the month.

I forgot about Durhamtown, I've been before but on fourwheelers. Haven't heard of rocky Flats?

Bell Mountain is a fun one, but sliders ARE required now unless you don't care about your rocker panels

I haven't either. I've never had a rig that could do anything off road until this Tacoma.

We should get some people together and do a weekend at this place:

Damn thats about 2 hours away, not bad.

There's a big SE meet happening at Gulches ORP heres the thread if you're interested.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/march-2016-gulches-ride-with-lots-of-bs.401619/

If you don't wanna wheel to hard you could probably ride with somebody and just camp out. It'd be pretty cool to have a 3rd gen out there

Awesome, this is perfect for me and my girlfriend. We're taking a 3 week trip in June all the way out to the west coast and we're going to do a bunch of trails on the way out there. This would help us get better at off road and spotting for each other. You not going to go out to this?

That trip is in South Carolina in March if I didn't mention that. But yeah I'll be going to it. I'm sure there will be other trips planned for the GA Tacoma guys before hand.

Pay attention to this thread too

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ga-tacoma-owners.17642/

That's the "main" GA thread, but its been dead for a while. There will probably be a few meets that we go to a restaurant and eat dinner and talk, drink and B.S. so just keep an eye out

Anyone know of a place within a couple hours drive of Atlanta with some light to medium trails? I'm not ready for "real" off-roading but still want to get my truck off the payment for a bit with no fears of getting stuck or scratching up my paint.

Look up Hawk Mountain in Blairsville. There are F.S roads and a car can drive on them and be fine except getting dirty a tad

That sounds like the level I'm looking for. I want something a little beyond car-capable but not to the point where I would need experience to keep from getting stuck or damaging anything. Thanks for the tip - I'll check it out.

Tray is super easy, depending on what side you go up. The Chimney Mountain side is more fun. The most you'll work about it maybe scratches from trees but I doubt it

I went up on Tray mt this weekend the first part was nice and easy with some slippery spots. But nothing you couldn't do in 2wd. On the way down the other side I got to some pretty big washes and turned around. I might have made it down but didn't know if the road was getting worse as I went further.

I made it just past this open area if y'all know where this is.
