    Introducing the KB Voodoo bolt together Bed Rack.

    This is just a rough draft. Ideas and suggestions are more than welcome.

    Here are some spec's:

    - works with all 2nd gen and 3rd gen Tacoma's
    - 14 gauge steel
    - fully bolt together, shipped disassembled
    - shipping weight will be just under 50 lbs
    - length is 46"
    - height is 18"
    - weight capacity is "whatever you can throw on it"
    - will come with all hardware
    - will come with Tnuts for attachment to factory side rails
    - will be black texture powder coated
    - side plates can be slid up and down to where you like them
    - top bars can be slid left and right to where you like them
    - extra side plates and top bars can be purchased for $40 each
    - has holes for mounting bike fork mounts
    - has holes for mounting hi jacks
    - has slots for mounting many other things

    Price will be $400 plus shipping. Will be available in roughly two weeks.

    Does this literally mean that if the object is light enough to throw it up there by hand it'll hold it?

    Or

    Does this mean it'll hold anything you put on it?

    Okay, so structurally the rack will hold as much weight as the bed rails will withstand then. Since they mount to the bed rails that would be the weak point so to speak?

    Since the brackets actually sit on top of the bed sides, the weight is dependent on them. It's basically just held in position by the bed rails.

    Okay, I looked at the pictures a bit more and noticed that. :) Also noticed the "VooDoo" cut into the rack. Missed that on first glance. ;)

    Seems like it would be easy to take on/off if you didn't want a full time permanent rack.

    I think one person could take it off or put it on. Just loosen the four bolts holding the Tnuts, and lift it out.

    Also, the sides of the rack match the slope of the side windows of the truck.

    All the corners are radiused, and all edges will be deburred, and then sandblasted, and then powder coated, so that shouldn't be an issue.
