Guys I know with street rods epoxy magnets to the back of the plate and then just stick it on when needed. I am assuming you have a plate bumper.

Can you use 4 magnets and span the distance of the bars for your light bar? Some of the magnets are super strong.

My plate is on my lower skid, it's there if they wanna be petty albeit not highly visible.

Mobil 1 in the engine and Redline MT90 in the trans, truck seems alot smoother on initial drive. Black shit came out of both at 6k, way over due. Trans plug magnet has a crap load of debris attached, and I saw some stuff in the pan, so I'm guessing that's what my clutch turned in to lol. Guess It's time to order a URD Stage 3 :D

How will this Stage 3 clutch fix an operator problem?

Because it can handle the horsepower much better and will engage quicker. Mind you, I knew from the get go I was gonna burn the clutch up, I havent owned a manual car before...driven, yes, owned, no. First manual anything was a motorcycle. I know I'm rough on the clutches, but youd think one would last more than 5k miles.

Exactly my point. Supercharger or not, if you fucked up a clutch that soon, no amount of stages is going to help. Money is better spent on driving school.

Of course you do. That's your MO. And I said driving school, not driver's education. I wouldn't trade my instructor time for any amount of stage clutch. Not trying to be a dick, but you're in for a rude awakening thinking a comp clutch will make up for driver shortcomings. If you're slipping the clutch now, you'll be slipping it even more due to increased pedal effort and faster engagement.
But this is just coming from some asshole with a stock clutch and a supercharged engine, 7th injector, smaller pulley, piggyback, and 80k miles...of which 40k are supercharged.

Is the Tacoma clutch a high or low release clutch? My old XB was a cargo van high release. Killed my calves until I adjusted.

Mine is a real high release. Took some getting used to. My sister taught me how to use a clutch :spy:
I like her style. Took me to the bottom of a hill in traffic

5 k miles? WTF? My 93 had 200k+ on the clutch and no sign of giving up, even after the tree fell on it and "totalled" it.

What are you doing to that thing?

I had 130k on my old clutch on my 2004 xb when my cv broke. looks like I had another 30k on the clutch too. I put in a TRD clutch, which is what everyone else calls a stock clutch, in, and the travel and engagement dropped to within an inch from the floor. Talk about low engagement! I ended up adjusting the clutch to make it closer to stock engagement.

The 2nd gen Tacoma is pretty high wrt engagement. It's an easy clutch to burn too because of the cdv imo. I'm on 22k and have smelled bubble gum on more than several occasions simply going up a curb. The OEM clutch doesn't smell like traditional semi-metallic. Is the bubblegum from traditional cellulose?

Not to make excuses, but I can see how it would be hard to learn on a 2nd gen taco. They are a little funky and unforgiving.
I learned on my sisters 84 Civic wagon back in 1991. Got better on many other vehicles: 1970 BMW 2002, 1965 Scout 80, 1978 Fiesta (bought for $250 while I rebuilt the Scout T-90), 1984 Toyota truck, 1986 Subaru, 1993 B2200, 1988 BMW 528, 1972 Scout 2, 1991 Montero. The Taco is the least forgiving of all of those vehicles, and neither Scout had a 1st gear synchro. Funny since all of the others were purchased for less than $3k. Glad I learned on the cheap ones!
I did drive my cousin's 1997 V6 Tacoma 4x4 around quite a bit. Clutch was smooth like butter...
For the record, Jeff did great at Hollister. Followed him for a while, up steep climbs, and didn't smell any clutch burn .
And @jberry813, I've been trying like a motherfucker to toe-heel since we spoke in September. Clown feet are too damn big.
