You have to find the 4x4 box which is behind the driver side kick panel. Then you have to unplug the wiring harness from the 4x4 box. They grey wire is in the harness that connects to the 4x4 box.

Gray wire, Some lights in the bed area, and some character marks throughout.
The wire to be cut is in the number 8 pin position. As auto said it will be behind the drivers side kick panel.

Wait, is it a TRD or factory e-locker?

the e-locker isn't on the reg cab? i don't believe its a TRD, ill have to check into it more but i don't think so. any easy way to tell. i know what the 4x4 box looks like and how to do the mod and everything but i just cant find the 4x4 box anywhere at all.

Well, if you don't have a locker, the mod does you no good.

And if you do have a locker it is most likely aftermarket and the mod will do you no good.

If you don't have a locker in it, then why try the gray wire mod? The 4X4 module may be up inside you dash further instead of behind the kick panel. The other question is....does it actually have 4X4?

If you don't have a REAR DIFF LOCK button, cutting that wire isn't going to do anything. If the wire is even there.

No E-locker from the factory in the reg cabs.
