San Bernardino, CA Shootings

For all the rhetoric on this thread, it will be quite interesting to see who these assailants really are and their "cause". Sad day for San Bernardino and just another reminder of the evil world in which we live.

 

Two questions?

1. The facility helps mentally and physically disabled people and especially children?

2. Why do they have shooter drills at a center for disabled children as reported?

This is shocking to me: This facility trains 'on a monthly basis' on how to deal with active shooters. A nurse saw the gunman running towards the building from the parking lot....she videoed them on her phone...she and others laughed...believing it to be a drill.

Apparently these 'drills' do not include instructions to call the POLICE at first sign of danger.

Does anyone have any info on this?

 

Yes, from what I understand mainly for children with disabilities and autism.

It's a government building? Schools do it...hospitals. To give you the most generic answer possible. It could be as simple as a break on insurance costs.

On the last I am going by with what was being reported on CNN by Wolf at the time but I think it may have been that LE was training in the area I have found out?

 

These drills have nothing to do with insurance cost breaks. They have everything to do with public safety. It is my understanding that all public school (maybe even private) will be trained in active shooter situations. It is a sign of the times and not a welcomed one.

 

I am sure that the mods are watching this thread carefully and giving people a chance to speak.

As far as I've heard.. report was false. People have been trying to use that as a way to claim "false flag".. which is disgusting.

As for "not calling the police", neither I or you know what an active shooter drill policy is. I thought the video was of them watching the police responding, not of the gunman. Which is why they thought it was a drill.

It is sad that the frequency of the drill made them assume it was one. I guess no different than when a fire alarm goes off at a school and no one ever thinks it's actually a fire, unless they're near it.

 

I agree 100%. I was giving a very small, minute example as to why.

 

What irritated me the most about the media coverage was the appearance that the talking heads acted almost as if they WANTED further violence and bloodshed while their cameras were rolling. With a couple, who I will refrain from mentioning by name, it seemed as if they were sexually gratified by what was going on..... The speculation and "creative writing" was doing nothing but adding to the fear in the community. There are 1,000's of factors that play into the behavior in todays society. #1 in my eyes is the media sensationalism created every time someone draws a bead with a gun.

 

I heard it on many different news outlets last night. There is a video showing LE moving in tactically with a women giggling in the background during the filming. The video was filmed from the same building in which the shooting occurred and has a women giggling in the background almost mocking the movement. She was called out by social media on the laughing and made a statement saying LE conducts drills at the building on a monthly basis and at first thought it was just another drill.

 

So she did not see or record the gunman(s).

 

I have not seen the video yet, but could it have been someone that has autism or some type of disability?
Here is one of the prime reason I feel the interwebs do more harm than good. We don't know the full story of events captured.

 

And, as these bits are broadcast, the narrator will imprint thoughts and ideas in the minds of those watching, in many cases causing peoples thoughts to go in a direction totally opposite of what REALLY happened. There is so much information to process, a few sound bites and snippets of what happened will only cause further confusion. We may be better off just not knowing what all went on....

No, it was a co-worker who was doing the actual recording with several people in the room while it was going on. The recording shows only the LEO approaching the building in tactical formation and not the shooter(s)

 

I heard bits and pieces of this story so I was wondering "Why did they target a place like this".....I had no idea he was an employee there and he was at the holiday party they were having. Left the party, got wife, bombs, guns, dropped off infant with his parents then went back to the party to shoot it up.
