Damn I can't wait to hit the dirt!

What frequency will any HAM guys be on? I usually broadcast on the NorCal station 146.460 if no one else has a preference.

Damn you guys are adventurous! Just a heads up, bring something to keep warm... While Upper Lake will be a balmy 59* on Saturday, Hull Mt will not. It's at nearly 8,000 feet elevation and you'll have overnight lows at 17*. But look on the bright side, that's a whole 6* warmer than Friday's low of 11*!

Certainly not trying to dissuade anyone from enjoying their camping trip, just encouraging you all to pack lots of extra warm things! I don't want to be responsible for the TW run that turned into the Donner Party. Or more likely, all of your wives and girlfriends never come on another TW trip again!!! Lol.

Have fun you guys! If I would have known I would own an FZJ80 by this trip I would've taken the time off! Let's do another Sonoma county meet up soon, parking garage restaurant style!

Are we using 2m because it has slightly less attenuation on tree leaves? Is that a problem with pine needles?

Anyway, 146.520mhz is the national simplex channel, I think we should stick to that for any HAM noobs in case we get into trouble, people are generally monitoring that for random convos. For 70cm we should be using 446.000mhz.

Just went out and got a 0 degree bag. Got my long johns, thermal and some of my snow board gear(for warmth) packed all so. I'll bring some fire wood too. Stoked for this!
