That was my old set up. Now I have the base resting on the wheel well which prevents it from flopping around. Just so happens that my lift mounts hold it at the right height to work. You might be able to remove the top, put the base towards the cab and move the whole thing forward so yours rests on the wheel well.

    No mods whatsoever!
The cover may give you minimal sound deadener. I moved my Hi-lift back so the foot rests against the rear of the box instead of all the way forward like you have it. Just slide your brackets back with the jack in it until it stops.

Keep in mind I have a long bed and the 60" HiLift. Not a short bed and 48" HiLift. ;) The bungee cord may still be the way to go for me. Or perhaps I can flip it around and try to press the base against the front of the truck bed.

Copy that. I have the 60 in the SB so I had to make accommodations :D

I bet the bungee will do what you need it to.

Better to ask what I have not done.
Well I got board to day and decided to start getting ready for Saturday and started getting my dash ready.... Long story short I have no self control....

I'll do a little more of a right up on it after Saturday on my build thread.

    looks good man!!

    easy, remove cluster from dash,
remove board, form inside plastic casing...unsolder leds on board and resolder new leds on board.
reverse process of removal back for reinstallation.

now the needles, i paint them with hobby shop paint (rc cars boats etc) i use nail polish remover to remove the existing orange paint then spray them,
    clean off excess and reinstall

remember to mark the needles with some tape and pen on the front face before removing needles.
ive done alot of these and helped other people do theres just by them asking me so please dont worry you can ask me and ill help out with any questions!

Hahaha I forgot about the needles position so if you put them on and just turn the needles to where they should zero (zero rpm, zero mph, E for fuel, C for temp) the dial will eventually stop. Continue rotating in that direction tell its at the points I just stated. Also if I have to do it again the turn signals and park lights don't dim with the dash and are very bright, the gear position their is nothing you can do about. But the turn signals take two LEDs. If your putting in blue or white it's very bright and I would only put one led back in.

They weren't properly sealed so they would fog up on the inside and eventually the moisture killed the passenger side halo. It died a slow, 1 individual LED flickering for a week at a time, painful death.
