    I don't understand two things here:

    1. Why do we want a truck with lots of zip? Just buy a car if you want something to scoot around in.

    2. Aren't 4-bangers made to be revved? Who cares if you have to run it up to 3K RPMs, that is what they are made to do.

    The 4-cylinder truck is made to do something slightly different than a 6 cylinder; why the constant comparison which brings snarky remarks, different values and different expectations to a discussion they aren't going to agree on?

    I really wanna test drive a 2.7 AT Access Cab and see the difference in the 6-spd AT and my old 2013 AT 4-cyl truck.

    I imagine those two extra gears make all the difference in the world.

    In some was yes but others no. The extra gears should make a difference in acceleration but it's offset buy the extra weight of the new truck. I'd like to see some acceleration times on both trucks.

    I could not be more pleased with the 4 cyl. in my access cab 4wd 5 speed. First tank with real gasoline was 24.2 mpg. Second tank with real gasoline was 23.8 which included one 30 mile trip to Lowes for 1275 lbs. of concrete blocks. Third tank I decided to do a worst case and filled up with Walmart ethanol (10%) and romp on it a little. This included another 30 trip for 1275 lbs of concrete blocks. I only had 194 miles on the tank but decided to fill up. The truck still got 23.7 mpg. This engine doesn't seem to mind ethanol at all. This engine has been upgraded to dual vvti this year and it is strong. I don't know what the opposite of buyer's remorse is but that's what I have. I could hardly tell I had weight in the bed. No joke. I was surprised. By the way, the truck/engine frees up after a few hundred miles. Be aware of this when you test drive one. Glad I didn't get a V6. I LOVE this truck!

    I set the cruise at 60 and you can hardly hear it run. I like my 4 cylinder.

    Can I ask where you located!

    I can't get what your getting and it may be my elevation in WNC.
    But yes the little 4cyl is mighty and the more miles you get on it the better it gets.

    Ok so I though the SR models had the front bumper all blacked out. Which I think is odd but your SR has the perimeter of the front bumper all silver and I think it looks great.

    What's the major difference in SR Access Cab vs SR5?

    Both 4cyl of course.

    Not entirely quite sure what the difference is but u believe my truck has a painted bumper and grille because it has the small back seats. I believe the utility package has the black bumper and black grille. I have the upgrade audio in mine cause I have 4 speakers instead of just 2 in the front. And I also have heated and power mirrors.

    OEM: Backup Camera, Bed Mat, Wiper Switch. Aftermarket: Fog Lights, Pop and Lock, Truxport, MS2's Debadged
    SR has a basic odometer info screen, 2 speed wipers, basic bluetooth. Cruise control and keyless are in a $915 option package, not standard.
    SR5 has the 4.2 inch info screen, intermittent wipers, entune plus with apps, cruise control and keyless are standard. It also gets projector headlights and a little bit of pretty trim scattered around the truck.

    You can do Intermittent wipers and cruise control with a few simple steps and it only costs about $150 to add it yourself. I did two write ups on each mod!

    I'm in northern Arkansas. Elevation is 1000 feet. Do you have a manual transmission? I have the stock steel wheels with Hankook Dynapro P245 75r16 tires at the recommended 32 psi.

    Stock Dunlops here, 5-spd tranny.

    But I do have to rev a tad more up in these hills. Lol... Not complaining just think I may have to make a trip home to Nebraska flatlands to see 23-24 MPG...

    I am trying to gather my head on this,

    SO the blacked out bumper up front is on the Utility Packages I think,

    I am looking at a 2016 or 2017 DCSB SR 4x4 V6 next year as we are hoping to have a baby,

    I don't need an SR5 and if I can get the black alloys on the SR I'll probably spring for em, I mean stock black 16" aluminum wheels with TPMS for 435.00
