    Real men go DCLBFTW. :D

    Little boys go DCSBFTL. :(

haha, j/k. I went DCLB because I wanted a truck but didn't need to tow a bunch of crap (thus Tacoma and not Tundra). Besides that if/when I do a topper I want to be able to lay down in the thing without being in the fetal position. It's all about options!

The DCSB with knobby tires and a lift "look cooler" granted.

I prefer the looks of the SB and own a SB. I have no use for a LB and off-road more than I haul. I understand the need for the LB for certain people though. If I need to haul anything that big I'll just use a trailer.

You'll be able to haul 16 cubic feet less of everything.

That's a lot of manhood you'll be missing out on.

If you're doing a lot of city driving that involves parking in potentially small spaces, and doing u-turns frequently, there is something to be said for the improved turning radius.

Edit: Also, lol @ manhood. If you're buying a truck for that reason you probably should have just gotten a F350 or something.

These long bed guys.......They sure are being quite defensive about their "manhood"..... I guess the bed is one way to compensate.... All us short bed guys seem to be more secure with who we are.:humble:

I drive in Atlanta traffic and park in a garage daily. Getting the short bed was a great decision. I haven't really ran into anything I couldn't haul and if I did I would probably want a trailer for the load.

FWIW I use my DCSB to haul me (primarily) and dirtbikes on the weekend (if I'm lucky) Usually 2 bikes on my trailer but on occasion 2 more in the bed. With the gate dropped 2 dirtbikes fit fine. Doesn't leave much room for gear though...

DINK, so ACLB. Same overall length as a DCSB, so parks and wheels the same. The jump seat area is enough interior storage for us.

i had a DCSB and now have a DCLB. the DCSB was awesome offroad, but so far with the DCLB i much more prefer the ride characteristics. I also do plan to throw a 4wheelcamper in the bed eventually which is the main reason for the long bed.

I'll drive an F350 for work. But you wouldn't be able to shake your stick at that.

Didn't hear her calling out how much more I can cram into her last time she was bottomed out to the bump stops. :bucket:

    Are floor mats a mod?

Hey now! No profiling! I got my DCLB because my wife's glamping gear and my skis don't fit in a SB. Yeah, SB looks better for sure. SB is Def better on tight trails.WAY. bUT, interestingly, my truck spins less on hard up hills and transitions. Can't figure out why, but there it is. Next one will be an SB with an expo trailer for all the camping gear. Still happy with what I have. After all, it's a Taco!

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
I've had both, I like the DCLB better but it's sometimes hard to park and get in parking spaces. I think my next one will be an extend cab long bed but I'll miss the full sized doors. Another thing to consider, LB in a DC in only available in a Sport. The sport has the electric e lock posi that IMO sucks and can be dangerous. I liked the electric locker of the off road better. The suspension in a Sport is better, it won't bottom out like an off road version will. God and not so good in both.
