My next playthrough will be on hard as well. As it sits now, I rarely am even challenged in combat. Although that has a LOT to do with the nature of a stealth/crit/snipe build as well

I almost never die but for goofy shit or me going "Heh....dogmeat, hold mah beer and watch this!"

Id recommend very hard. Hard is still cake walk where as very hard requires some thinking through situations. Even with my sniper maxed out i cant one shot tougher enemies. Ammo is more scarce/use more but stimpacks are still common.

Survival mode is downright hard. Die all the time and by the time i would use a stimpack it was already too late.

Hah. Same here. The only time I've died in ages is when I run into a large gang of Gunners or Raiders who lob mini nukes at me.

I've had a built up Combat Rifle with *double damage on the first shot since around lvl 20, so I've been running/gunning and single shotting damn near everything other than Deathclaws, which take like five shots to kill. Way too easy.

I've probably played 60 hours and haven't gone past the story mission where you bring the Settlers back to Sanctuary yet

Same. Still haven't gotten to diamond city. Trying to protect these settlements and do side missions.

    Wow. That's impressive.

I just started a new game and plan on doing taking my time. I spent about two hours building the truck stop last night and saved after I met with the Minutemen.

I have around 60 hours of gameplay as well but im almost to the end of the storyline. Definitely intriguing details that come out, but it made my decision pretty easy. Lvl 41 here, which looking at the perk chart is barley any skills.

This is how I always play open world games , I do a ton of the optional and side missions at the beginning and gain weapons / xp / whatever before carrying on with the main story

I also find that if I do the whole storyline first , I'm less motivated to do all the side missions

Is there an actual " hours played " stat in the game stats somewhere ?

Mine is more of a holdover from FO3's abrupt and disappointingly short 'main' storyline. It doesn't matter that I *know* this game won't end even if I finish the main quest, I'm just still gun-shy over that.

This story was pretty short..and honestly ive been pretty disappointed with the actual story even though i havent quite finished it. There really wasnt much to it at all.

Yea, they shot their wad (metaphorically speaking) on making the new first person view work and getting the tech behind VATS functioning and balanced. The time left for writing and side-stuff was nil.

Which is why FO:NV was so balls-out awesome. They spent basically ALL their time doing writing and questing setups....the tech was mostly done already.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Guess it is looking like I might not need to buy a xb1 and this game... I'll keep playing fo:nv

Uh, to each their own I guess. Frankly, I'd say you're quite missing a spectacular game.
