My mechanic indicates he can pull the coil spacers no problem. Just not sure if this tire size will rub a little. 275/70 R18.

He looked at it and says they'll fit with out a lift and maybe only rub a little bit at full lock. I doubt I'll be at full lock EVER with the type of driving I do. I know the 2016 sits a little higher.

    Does this sound about right?

Heck, I've done nothing to the back and the 33" tires seem to fit just fine. I know the front will sit about an inch lower and just using the eyeball method, it looks like it would fit just fine.

One way to find out. Pull the lift and put stock wheels back on (unless you sold em) then take it in for warranty. Sucks to have to do that but it sure beats paying out of pocket for repairs.

I had the dealer do a 3" spacer lift, so when the vibration started with mine, no problem to get the tsb done.
I have since swapped the spacer out to Fox shocks, since the lift remained the same, dealer won't say anything against it...

Do all dealers do this in house? I basically called and asked them what they do? They said they send their trucks to Les Schwab and Epic. I just took it to Schwab on my own.

I got the job done in house, cause I know how the dealerships work, spent most of my career as a dealer tech...
If the dealer does the job(subbed out or not, the warranty should remain in place, do it outside the dealer, they might not cover it...

If I go to them now and just tell them I want to get things right, will they offer a solution?

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
I'm going to see if they'll replace mine before I do the ECGS bushing. It's their crappy design, they can pay for it.

I took out the lift in the front and put on a slightly smaller tires. Problem/vibration is nearly gone. Still what feels like a little grinding at low speed 10mph or less. Eventually going to have to take it to the dealer.

So it sounds like Toyota did absolutely nothing to fix this problem in the 2016 models. Disappointing to say the least.

The TSB just came out, I'm sure the later models will have the fix, plus the dealer does it for free!

Late to the party. At 60k did a 5100 lift at 1.75". no problems. At 100K did a 3" lift, and the bad vibrations. Drivers CV was really loose as compared to the passenger side. Also did the Diff drop. Then installed the ECGS bushing with a New CV axle as the end was rather worn. Will rebuild the end and save as a trail spare.

No more vibration from the front end. There is an art in getting the total lift sorted out and I am at 95% at this point. YMMV

After ten years Toyota finally recognized it in the 2nd gen in May 2015.
So I doubt it. The current TSB notice does not list the 3rd gen.

But once complaints come in maybe that changes.

I wouldn't think so yet, but, I would think it would be the same numbers for the parts!
Talk to your service advisor, tell him the problem, tell him the tsb number, see if he will help you, if not, talk to the service manager.

Did you ever take it in to the dealer? You seemed pretty set on what they 'probably would say', but you never know 'til you take it in.

I haven't taken it in yet. Kept going back and forth with Les Schwab on the tires and leveling kit. Switched to smaller tires and no kit and I can barely notice anything vibration at all now. Just a brief but at 32 but nothing above or below.
