One more question, do 2nd gens have a steering wheel adjustment or do I just center the wheel then center the toe?

Anyone using King's race series coil sliders ? I have the performance series sliders currently and no matter how well I clock my coil overs the sliders are so pliable that they twist enough to ride the threaded body and hang on the threads. King said the race series slider is CNC'd from solid stock and stiffer but he really didn't want to guarantee that they would be any better...

electronic stability control...same thing you read about people having trouble with after a lift they have to go to the dealer to get it zero'd out at the new height or the truck does crazy shit on its own

Cut it off and reweld it on man haha

They aren't know for being very good. Not as good as the asin stock hubs. If you can find some of those to rebuild I'd do that before the warns.

Go to the following link to see how to cal your VSC on your own. I've done it several times to make the light go out after a few of my OR adventures and after alignments.

Solo uses a D44 snout and hub from a 73-88 chevy 1/2 ton. I have the same on my diamond axle (rear) for a poor man's full floater with slugs so no hubs to blow out.

Those are effing expensive though, and you can't select locked/unlocked like a manual hub on a d44. Plenty of full size trucks are just fine on d44's and warn lockouts.

For anyone considering buying from offroad-engineering.com... Don't.

Placed an order over a month ago. Called and requested to ship via USPS, was told no problem it will go out in a few days.

Multiple upon multiple unanswered emails, phone calls, and voicemails later... Still nothing. At least they didn't charge my card.

You can use some Sway Away Sliders, or fox sliders.

Yeah they have been wierd. They were really good on customer service before. Seems like they dont even sell anythin anymore. I tried calling them a couple times with no answer.

Could use some brain storming before I crawl under the truck tomorrow. My steering wheel is all of a sudden canted 10-15 degrees off. No impact, no offroading. Just hopped in it to leave work one day and quickly noticed the wheel being canted.

The three possibilities I am looking at are:

Rack shifted on bushings/mount to frame. Relatively new rack and I went with the upgraded bushings when I replaced the rack (less than a year old), so I doubt the bushings are toast.

Steering shaft slipped. I doubt this as well given the safety mechanism built into it, with the manner that the bolts pinch it in place and prevent rotation, but I'll be checking it anyways. I've replaced the intermediate shaft within the last year as well...

    Loose tie rod end.

I cannot seem to kick the play / wandering front end issues. I am having to re-order a rebuild kit for the coil overs (see my last post about offroad-engineering...) and I'm hoping that helps. Other than I've replaced every bushing, heim, joint in the front end and I can't seem to kick the play / wandering. Truck is on fresh front wheel bearing / hub assembly. Tires are evenly and properly inflated. Alignment is pretty darn good, minus my limitations on castor (2.0 degrees is about all I can get).

Anything else I should be looking at?

2.0° of castor sounds like a pretty suspect cause for the road wandering, especially since you've replace a lot of wear items.
